For the control of a wide range of diseases in wheat, barley and ryegrass crops

GENERAL INFORMATION
RADIAL is a broad spectrum fungicide with DMI group contact and protectant and eradicant activity; and with strobilurin group systemic, translaminar, protectant and anti sporulant properties. Thorough coverage of the crop is necessary for best results. RADIAL has curative activity against early stages of infection but optimum results are obtained from application prior to the onset of infection. RADIAL enhances green leaf area retention and will provide up to six weeks disease control in cereals. Applications made to cereal crops over the flag leaf to head emergence growth stages will provide significant green leaf area retention that can contribute to yield increases. RADIAL

It is an offence to use this product on animals.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
DO NOT use more than two applications of RADIAL and/or any other strobilurin fungicide per season

BARLEY
Disease: Leaf Rust, Net Blotch (spot and net form), Scald, Powdery mildew
Rate: 0.8 to 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray on susceptible cultivars and when conditions favour disease. Otherwise apply at the first appearance of disease. Continued disease pressure or reinfection may require a further treatment 3-5 weeks later. Apply up to the end of flowering (Zadok GS 69). Apply the higher rate to powdery mildew.

BARLEY AND WHEAT
Disease: Eyespot
Rate: 0.8 to 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: Apply to at risk crops from mid-tillering through to flag leaf visible

WHEAT
Disease: Leaf Rust, Powdery Mildew, Speckled Leaf Blotch, Stripe Rust
Rate: 0.8 to 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray on susceptible cultivars and where conditions favour disease. Otherwise apply at the first appearance of disease. Continued disease pressure or reinfection may require a further treatment 3-5 weeks later.Apply up to the end of flowering (Zadok GS 69). Note: Application may be required early in the season at mid-tillering to control Speckled leaf blotch.

Disease: Glume Blotch
Rate: 0.8 to 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: For protection of the flag leaf apply as a preventive spray from flag leaf emergence; GS 39-55. For protection of the seed head apply after ear emergence; GS 57-69

Disease: Ear disease complex
Rate: 0.8 to 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: For protection of the ear application should be made to fully emerged ears up to the end of flowering (Zadok GS 69).

RYEGRASS INCLUDING TURF SPECIES
Disease: Crown Rust (Leaf Rust), Stem Rust
Rate: 1.6 L/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray on susceptible cultivars and where conditions favour disease. Continued disease pressure or reinfection may require a further treatment 2-4 weeks later. The treatment of Ryegrass seed cultivars has not shown to have had any adverse effects on the endophyte levels in the harvested seed.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
Wheat and barley grain: 42 days. Wheat and barley green feed/silage: Allow 28 days between last application and cutting or introduction of stock for grazing. Ryegrass: Allow 35 days between last application and introduction of stock for grazing.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
GROUP 3 11 FUNGICIDE RADIAL is a member of the DMI and quinine outside inhibitors (Qols) group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is both a Group 3 and a Group 11 fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to RADIAL and other Group 3 and/or Group 11 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by this product and other Group 3 and/or Group 11 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, ADAMA accepts no liability for any losses that may result from failure of RADIAL to control resistant fungi.

MIXING
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation. Shake the closed RADIAL container. Whilst filling the remainder of the spray tank add the required amount of RADIAL, adding any tank mix products last. Maintain agitation until spraying is complete. DO NOT leave the spray mix in the sprayer overnight.

APPLICATION
Use at least 200 litres/ha of water by ground. Use higher water volumes in dense or advanced crops. Use not less than 60 litres/ha for aerial application. As there are many factors involved in aerial application, for optimum results, contact your local ADAMA New Zealand Limited representative for detailed information. Uniform coverage is essential for best results. Wetting agent additives are not normally required when using RADIAL.

RAINFALL
DO NOT apply if rainfall is likely within two hours of treatment.

COMPATIBILITY
RADIAL fungicide is compatible with most commonly used insecticides. Before using any tank mixture, consult and comply with the recommendations of the partner product. Each product should be added separately to the bulk of the water in the spray tank whilst filling and agitator working.
