For the control of a wide range of leaf and stem diseases of Wheat, Barley, Oats, Ryegrass seed crops and Turf grass, and the treatment of Prairie grass seed for Head Smut.

GENERAL INFORMATION
TILT EC is a systemic fungicide for the control of various foliar diseases of small grain cereals and ryegrass, as well as the treatment of prairie grass seed for Head Smut.
Wheat: Stripe Rust, Leaf Rust (Brown Rust), Speckled Leaf Blotch and Glume Blotch
Barley: Net Blotch (both net and spot forms), Spot Blotch, Leaf Scald, Leaf Rust and Ovularia Leaf Spot
Oats: Crown Rust
Ryegrass: Stem Rust and Leaf Rust (Crown Rust) Prairie grass (seed treatment): Head Smut

RESISTANCE
Resistance to this fungicide and related products could develop from repeated use. To minimise this risk use strictly in accordance with the label instructions. In cereals and turf, use a maximum of three DMI applications per crop, including seed treatment, at full recommended label rates.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence to use this product on animals.

WHEAT
Disease:
 Stripe Rust, Speckled Leaf Blotch
Rates: 500 mL in a minimum of 200 litres water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray on susceptible cultivars. For control on less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of the diseases. Note: DO NOT apply TILT EC to silage cereal crops after GS 39, flag leaf fully unrolled, to ensure the 42 day withholding period is observed.

Disease: Glume Blotch
Rates: 500 mL in a minimum of 200 litres water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray at ear emergence on susceptible cultivars especially during cool, moist conditions which favour spread of this disease to the head. On less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of the disease. Note: DO NOT apply TILT EC to silage cereal crops after GS 39, flag leaf fully unrolled, to ensure the 42 day withholding period is observed.

WHEAT, BARLEY
Disease:
 Leaf Rusts
Rates: 500 mL in a minimum of 200 litres water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray at ear emergence on susceptible cultivars. For control on less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of the disease. Note: DO NOT apply TILT EC to silage cereal crops after GS 39, flag leaf fully unrolled, to ensure the 42 day withholding period is observed.

BARLEY
Disease:
Net Blotch, Spot Blotch, Leaf Scald, Ovularia Leaf Spot
Rates: 500 mL in a minimum of 200 litres water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply at first sign of the diseases. Note: DO NOT apply TILT EC to silage cereal crops after GS 39, flag leaf fully unrolled, to ensure the 42 day withholding period is observed.

OATS
Disease:
 Crown Rust
Rates: 500 mL in a minimum of 200 litres water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply as a preventative spray at flag leaf emergence on susceptible cultivars. On less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of the disease up to the completion of flowering. Note: DO NOT apply TILT EC to silage cereal crops after GS 39, flag leaf fully unrolled, to ensure the 42 day withholding period is observed.

RYEGRASS SEED CROPS
Disease:
Stem and Leaf Rusts (Crown Rust)
Critical Comments: For optimum control on susceptible cultivars, apply TILT EC as a preventative spray after closing up for seed, and repeat at 3 to 4 week intervals depending upon continuing disease pressure. For control on less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of disease.

TURF GRASS
Critical Comments: Apply in a minimum of 10 litres of water/100 square metres. Apply as a preventative spray before the signs of disease appear, when conditions are favourable for disease development. For maximum control of turf diseases, maintain the appropriate water and fertiliser requirements to minimise disease development. DO NOT mow within 24 hours of application, and delay application to after the morning dew has dried, to minimise the spread of diseases. Note: Some reduction in grass growth may occur. DO NOT apply to newly sown turf.

Disease: Dollar Spot
Rates: 20 mL/100 square metres
Critical Comments: Apply every 14 to 28 days.

Disease: Brown Patch
Rates: 30 mL/100 square metres
Critical Comments: Apply every 10 to 21 days. Under conditions of high temperature and humidity, repeat application at the shorter interval.

Disease: Red Thread
Rates: 30 mL/100 square metres
Critical Comments: Apply every 14 to 21 days.

Disease: Fusarium Patch
Rates: 30 mL/100 square metres
Critical Comments: Make the first application in late autumn and repeat as necessary, ensuring no more than 3 applications per season.

PRAIRIE GRASS SEED
Disease:
 Head Smut
Rates: 60 mL/100 kg of dressed seed
Critical Comments: Apply as a seed coat in sufficient water to ensure adequate coverage. At the time of treatment, the seed must be dyed a distinctive colour (see under Precautions).

APPLICATION
Aerial Application: Apply in sufficient water to ensure more than 20 droplets per square centimetre on all leaves. As there are many factors involved in aerial application, for optimum results, contact your local Syngenta Crop Protection representative for detailed information.

MIXING
Add the required amount of TILT EC to the partly filled spray tank and add the remainder of the water with agitation.

COMPATIBILITY
TILT EC is compatible with most of the commonly used pesticides, including herbicides, used on cereals.
