For the selective control of Annual Ryegrass, Lesser Canary Grass, Gnawed Canary Grass and Wild Oats in Barley and Wheat

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
TWINAX Herbicide is a member of the Phenylpyrazoline group of herbicides. TWINAX has the inhibitor of acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase) mode of action. For weed resistance management TWINAX is a Group A herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to TWINAX and other Group A herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by TWINAX or other Group A herbicides.  DO NOT make more than one application of TWINAX or herbicides with a similar mode of action to a crop in the same season. To minimise the risk of resistance development use strictly in accordance with the label directions.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Volume of Application: Apply TWINAX in a minimum of 200 litres of water/hectare.

BARLEY, WHEAT
Weeds controlled: Lesser Canary Grass (Phalaris minor), Gnawed Canary Grass (Phalaris paradoxa), Ryegrass (Annual Ryegrass)
Weed stage: Apply when grass weeds are between 3rd leaf and prior to first node (GS 13-30)
Rate/ha: 300 mL plus 0.5% v/v Adigor™

Weeds controlled: Wild Oats (Avena spp.)
Weed stage: Apply when grass weeds are between 3rd leaf and prior to first node (GS 13-30)
Rate/ha: 250 mL plus 0.5% v/v Adigor.

Critical comments: Long term control is enhanced by good ground cover from an actively growing crop. DO NOT apply if weeds are growing very poorly due to stress from factors including very dry conditions, waterlogging, frosts, or nutrient deficiency.
DO NOT use after growth stage GS 32 (2nd node). *Use 500 mL of ADIGOR /100 L of water. If using low water volumes (100 L water/ha or less) use a minimum of 500 mL/ha ADIGOR.

EQUIPMENT
TWINAX can be applied using conventional boom spraying equipment and is non-corrosive.

MIXING
Continuous agitation (preferably mechanical) of the spray liquid is essential during the addition of the product and during the spray operation.

COMPATIBILITY
TWINAX is compatible with commonly used cereal fungicides and some broadleaf herbicides
Certain broadleaf herbicides may be incompatible with TWINAX because they reduce grass weed control or may cause crop discolouration. Herbicides which are incompatible must be applied separately. In this situation, apply TWINAX first and then allow at least 10 days between its application and application of the broadleaf herbicide. Contact your local Syngenta Crop Protection representative for detailed information.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards.
