General Information:

Arigato is a broad-spectrum fungicide that contains the active ingredients azoxystrobin and difenoconazole. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including rice, cotton, sugarcane, and vegetables. Arigato is a systemic and contact fungicide that is absorbed by the roots and leaves of the plants and translocated to all parts of the plant, including the growing points. It inhibits mitochondrial respiration and ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi, which are essential for fungal growth and development.

Active Ingredient:

Azoxystrobin 18.2% WG

Difenoconazole 11.4% WG

Mode of Action:

Arigato has two modes of action:

Azoxystrobin: Azoxystrobin inhibits mitochondrial respiration in fungi. Mitochondria are the powerhouses of cells, and they produce energy through a process called respiration. By inhibiting mitochondrial respiration, azoxystrobin disrupts the energy supply of fungi and leads to their death.

Difenoconazole: Difenconazole inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi. Ergosterol is a key component of fungal cell membranes. By inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, difenconazole disrupts the integrity of fungal cell membranes and leads to the death of the fungi.

Application:

Arigato can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop and the fungal disease to be controlled. For example, to control blast in rice, Arigato can be applied as a foliar spray at a dose of 200 ml per hectare.

Precautions:

Arigato is a selective fungicide, but it can injure some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.

Arigato is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.

Arigato is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies..

Additional Information:

Arigato is a popular fungicide among farmers in India because it is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, including some difficult-to-control diseases such as blast in rice and rust in cotton. It is also relatively safe for crops if used correctly.

However, it is important to note that Arigato is a systemic fungicide, which means that it can be absorbed by the plants and translocated to all parts of the plant, including the edible parts. Therefore, it is important to follow the pre-harvest interval (PHI) specified on the label before harvesting the crops.
