Astrole is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that effectively controls a wide range of fungal diseases in various crops, including cotton, sugarcane, wheat, tomato, paddy, onion, maize, chilli, and turmeric. It contains a combination of two active ingredients, Azoxystrobin (18.2% w/w) and Difenoconazole (11.4% w/w), belonging to the strobilurin and triazole classes of fungicides, respectively. Astrole acts by inhibiting fungal respiration and disrupting cell membrane integrity, leading to the suppression of fungal growth and development.

Key Features of Astrole:

  • Broad-spectrum disease control: Effectively controls a wide range of fungal diseases, including leaf spot, grey mildew, red rot, smut, rust, powdery mildew, early blight, late blight, blast, sheath blight, purple blotch, stemphylium blight, downy mildew, anthracnose, and rhizome rot.

  • Dual mode of action: The combination of Azoxystrobin and Difenoconazole provides a synergistic effect, enhancing the fungicidal activity and reducing the risk of resistance development.

  • Protective and curative action: Astrole exhibits both protective and curative properties, preventing fungal infections and controlling existing infections.

  • Translaminar movement: Astrole penetrates leaf tissues and moves within the plant, providing protection to both treated and untreated parts.

  • Long-lasting residual control: Provides long-lasting residual control, preventing reinfection for an extended period.

Benefits of using Astrole:

  • Enhanced crop health and yield: By controlling fungal diseases, Astrole protects crops from yield losses and quality deterioration, leading to improved productivity.

  • Reduced disease pressure: Effective disease management reduces the spread of fungal pathogens, contributing to overall crop health and reduced disease pressure in the field.

  • Reduced fungicide resistance: The dual mode of action helps in delaying the development of fungicide resistance, ensuring long-term efficacy.

  • Promotes sustainable practices: Effective disease control with reduced application frequency aligns with sustainable agricultural practices.

Application:

Astrole is applied as a foliar spray to various crops, including cotton, sugarcane, wheat, tomato, paddy, onion, maize, chilli, and turmeric. The recommended application rate and timing vary depending on the crop and disease severity. Refer to the product label for specific application instructions.

Precautions:

  • Use only as directed: Follow the label instructions carefully and use Astrole only on crops and diseases as specified.

  • Prevent spray drift: Avoid drift to non-target crops and sensitive areas by using appropriate spraying techniques and adjusting nozzles.

  • Wear protective gear: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and long-sleeved clothing, when handling Astrole.

  • Minimize exposure: Wash thoroughly after handling Astrole and avoid contact with skin and eyes.

  • Safe storage and disposal: Store Astrole in its original container in a cool, dry place, away from food, feed, and children's reach. Dispose of empty containers according to local regulations.

Always read and follow the label instructions carefully before using Astrole.
