General Information:

Gezeko is a broad-spectrum fungicide that belongs to the Triazole and Strobilurin groups. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including Paddy, Cotton, Wheat, and Soybean. Gezeko is a systemic fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes.

Active Ingredients:

  • Tebuconazole 50% + Trifloxystrobin 25% WG

Mode of Action:

Gezeko is a systemic fungicide that is absorbed by the roots and leaves of the plants and translocated to all parts of the plant, including the growing points. It inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, Gezeko prevents the fungi from growing and eventually kills them.

Application:

Gezeko can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop and the target disease. For example, to control leaf blast in paddy, Gezeko can be applied as a foliar spray at a dose of 0.75-1.0 kg/ha.

Precautions:

  • Gezeko is a selective fungicide, but it can injure some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
  • Gezeko has a moderate residual activity in the soil. Therefore, it is important to rotate crops to avoid injury to subsequent crops.
  • Gezeko is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies..

Additional Information:

Gezeko is a popular fungicide among farmers in India because it is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, including some difficult-to-control diseases such as leaf blast in paddy and rust in wheat. It is also relatively safe for crops and has a moderate residual activity in the soil, which helps to protect crops from fungal diseases for a longer period of time.
