Mask (Nichino Chemical India) METALAXYL 35% WS is a broad-spectrum fungicide that is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops. It is a wettable powder (WP) formulation that contains the active ingredient metalaxyl. Metalaxyl is a systemic fungicide that is absorbed by the plant and moves throughout the plant to control fungal diseases. It works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption of cell membrane integrity leads to cell death and the control of fungal diseases.

Application Rates

Application Methods

Mask can be applied by foliar spray or by drenching. Foliar sprays should be applied to thoroughly cover all plant surfaces. Drenches should be applied to the base of the plant and allowed to soak into the soil.

Re-entry Interval

The re-entry interval for Mask is 12 hours. This means that people should not enter the treated area until 12 hours after the last application.
