Rostock (Rotam India) with the active ingredients Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenconazole 11.4% SC is a post-emergent, systemic fungicide with a broad spectrum of activity against a wide range of fungal diseases on a variety of crops, including rice, wheat, groundnut, vegetables, and fruits.

Mode of action:

  • Azoxystrobin is a strobilurin fungicide that inhibits the respiration of fungi. This disrupts the energy production of the fungus and kills it.
  • Difenconazole is a triazole fungicide that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This weakens the cell membrane and kills the fungus.

Application:

Rostock can be applied as a foliar spray using a conventional sprayer. The application rate depends on the type of crop being grown and the fungal disease being controlled. For example, to control blast on rice, the application rate is 0.5-1 L/ha. To control brown rust on wheat, the application rate is 0.75-1.5 L/ha. To control leaf spot on groundnut, the application rate is 0.75-1.5 L/ha. To control early blight on tomato, the application rate is 0.75-1.5 L/ha.

Benefits:
