General Information:

Tafuna is a broad-spectrum fungicide that contains two active ingredients: tebuconazole and sulfur. It is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases in a variety of crops, including fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and field crops.

Mode of Action:

Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide that inhibits the production of ergosterol, which is a component of fungal cell membranes. By inhibiting ergosterol production, tebuconazole disrupts the integrity of fungal cell membranes and leads to cell death.

Sulfur is a multi-site fungicide. This means that it disrupts a variety of cellular processes in fungal cells, making it difficult for the fungi to survive. Sulfur also has a protective effect, preventing fungal spores from germinating and infecting plants.

Application:

Tafuna can be applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dose and application method will vary depending on the crop to be protected and the disease to be controlled.

Precautions:

  • Tafuna is a selective fungicide, but it can harm some crops if applied incorrectly. It is important to read and follow the label directions carefully.
  • Tafuna can cause phytotoxicity in some crops, especially when applied during hot weather. It is important to test Tafuna on a small area of the crop before applying it to the entire field.
  • Tafuna is not rain fast. Therefore, it should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
  • Tafuna is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Therefore, it should not be applied near water bodies.
