Seed to be treated with Agrichem HY-PRO Duet should be of satisfactory quality and moisture content. Treated seed should be sown as soon as possible after treatment, and should not be stored from one season to the following season.

 

Any crop may be sown after growing a crop of Oilseed rape where the seed was treated with Agrichem HY-PRO Duet

 

Agrichem HY-PRO Duet can be applied through most types of seed treatment machinery, from automated, continuous flow machines, to smaller batch treating apparatus. It is a ready to use, flowable formulation. Do not co-apply Agrichem HY-PRO Duet with water. Ensure the product is thoroughly agitated before each application in order to achieve an even loading. Check drill calibration before drilling seed treated with Agrichem HY-PRO Duet.

Agitation: The product must be well mixed and free flowing to ensure even application and this should be checked prior to each use. If the product has been left to stand for more than 2 months, full agitation may be necessary to re-suspend the product before use. The pump will need to run for at least 30 minutes to re-suspend the product. Instructions for the re-suspension of the product are carried on the product label.

Agrichem HY-PRO Duet is a coloured formulation, appearing blue on the seed surface. If an alternative colour is required, a co-application with a Polymer coating treatment or coloured insecticidal seed treatment may be possible. Agrichem can advise on the use of other co-applied treatments with Agrichem HY-PRO Duet.

Containers of greater than 20 litres capacity should only be handled with mechanical assistance. Always use the drum valve closures and compatible couplers to remove, agitate and/or resuspend Agrichem HY-PRO Duet from the IBC. Place the IBC on a firm level surface, near a transfer or metering pump. Wear correct protective clothing (gloves, coveralls, rubber boots and face protection) when carrying out the coupling, uncoupling or agitation procedures. ALWAYS follow the Operating Instructions.

 

Attach coupler to valve ensuring handle is in fully-up position. Turn coupler clockwise approximately 90o to engage until a stop is reached. Press down coupler handle so that locking mechanism is engaged. Drum can now be emptied.

Press down coupler handle and depress locking mechanism allowing handle to spring up, closing valve in drum. Turn coupler anti-clockwise and remove from drum.

 

 

To Connect:

1) Switch off the transfer pump.

2) Check that entry and exit couplers are attached to the ends of the flexible suction tubes.

3) Attach the exit and entry couplers to their respective ports on the IBC. NB These couplers are not interchangeable. (Refer to Additional Information for use of Drum Valve Closures for instruction on connecting and disconnecting the couplers.)

3) Once these couplers are connected the product is ready for use. Refer to the Instructions for Use of the transfer pump. Whilst the transfer pump is connected as described the product is agitated by being returned to the bulk. This is sufficient agitation for daily use.

 

To Disconnect:

1) Switch off the transfer pump.

2) Release the entry and exit couplers and lodge them in the designated spots.

 

during disconnection of the container it is possible that small quantities of Agrichem HY-PRO Duet may remain in or on the couplings and fittings. It is therefore essential that operators maintain procedures that aim to contain this potential minor spillage of product. Empty containers must be treated in the same manner as full or part used containers. This is as a precaution, should they contain a significant residual volume. Any damage to the container should be reported to the supplier. DO NOT remove or tamper with any of the IBC fixtures or fittings.

 

Turn the ball valve in the service line to the off position and open the ball valve in the return line. Switch on the transfer pump. All the Agrichem HY-PRO Duet present in the lines will be delivered back to the transfer pump. Maintain this operation for 30 minutes to completely re-suspend the product.

When this agitation process is completed, switch off the transfer pump, open the ball valve in the service line and close the ball valve in the return line. The transfer pump should be switched off when it is not required for agitation or delivery of product.

 

Agrichem HY-PRO Duet is applied to winter Oilseed rape seed for the control of seed-borne Phoma lingam. It also controls the soil-borne fungi that are the cause of ‘damping off’ of seedlings. Use at a rate of 9 mls per kg seed. Good coverage of the seed surface is essential for control of seed-borne disease.

 

Agrichem HY-PRO Duet is NOT compatible with any other seed treatment as a tank mix. DO NOT mix Agrichem HY-PRO Duet with any other seed treatment product before use. COMPANY ADVISORY INFORMATION Agrichem HY-PRO Duet contains protectant fungicides with activity against seed-borne Phoma lingam. It will not control symptoms of Phoma such as leaf spotting, where these arise from spores on trash in the seed bed. It has no insecticidal activity and a suitable insecticide treatment may be required to protect seedlings from Flea beetle or Cabbage Stem Flea beetle damage.
