DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

RESTRICTIONS
AVOID drift onto sensitive neighbouring crops as crop damage may occur.
AVOID application when the air temperature is above 25oC (20oC for maize) as crop damage (necrosis) may result.
DO NOT spray in windy weather as drift may damage susceptible crops such as beans, beet, brassica, (including oilseed rape), carrots, legumes, tomato, fruit, hops, glasshouse crops and drift on to open water surfaces.
DO NOT apply when rain is expected within 6 hours of spraying.
DO NOT apply during frosty weather, drought, when soil is waterlogged, or to crops suffering from any stress.
DO NOT use on undersown crops or crops due to be undersown.

WEEDS CONTROLLED
WEED:
Black-nightshade, Fat hen, Field penny-cress, Mayweeds, Poppy, Common, Speedwell, Common field, Shepherd’s Purse, Wild Mustard, Wild Radish.
SUSCEPTIBILITY AT 1.2 L/HA: Post-em. to GS12 (2 leaves)

Buctril is a contact and partially systemic herbicide which acts on emerged broad-leaved weeds. It is absorbed by the leaves and inhibits photosynthesis. Effects on weeds typically appear within 24 hours of treatment as small necrotic spots. Susceptible weeds die within 4-5 days after application depending on conditions. Buctril is effective from 7°C. Higher temperatures and sunlight during and after application will enhance the efficacy of the product.
Spray when weeds are actively growing. Good, even spray coverage of weeds is essential.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Apply via a horizontal boom sprayer. Apply in 200-400 L/ha as a FINE to MEDIUM spray (BCPC category).
Use application techniques which ensure good weed coverage and crop penetration. Ensure that spray swaths do not overlap.
Only 1 application of Buctril should be made to the crop.

Autumn and spring sown cereals:
Apply from the 2 leaf stage (GS12) of the crop up to before stem extension (GS29)
Maize: Apply from the 1 leaf stage (GS11) of the crop up to before GS19 (9 or more leaves unfolded).

FOLLOWING CROPS AND CROP FAILURE
There are no restrictions to the establishment of succeeding crops or replacement crops.

MIXING
Shake the container well before use. Half fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required amount of Buctril. Wash out the container and add the washings to the spray solution, before topping up with clean water. Maintain continuous agitation of spray solution during mixing and loading and until spraying is complete. Do not leave the sprayer filled with the spray solution standing for long periods.
To avoid subsequent damage to susceptible crops wash out the sprayer thoroughly after use using a proprietary tank cleaner according to the label instructions for that product.
