A suspension concentrate containing 100 g/litre metrafenone plus 83 g/litre epoxiconazole for use in winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, winter and spring barley, winter and spring oats, rye and triticale.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Ceando is a fungicide with protectant and curative properties for the control of a range of diseases on winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale.

Restrictions/Warnings
Avoid spray drift onto neighbouring crops.
Ceando may cause damage to broad-leaved plant species.
When applied to barley intended for malting, refer to the latest timing restrictions for epoxiconazole given by the British Beer and Pub Association.
Wash equipment thoroughly after use.
Consult processor before use.

Disease Control
Disease susceptibility
Ceando is a systemic fungicide with protectant and curative properties for the control of a range of diseases in winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale .
In winter wheat, spring wheat, durum wheat and oats Ceando will provide control of powdery mildew in preventative situations and moderate curative control of powdery mildew in the latent phase.

Resistance management
Apply Ceando according to the instructions for the target diseases at the specific growth stage indicated. Apply a maximum of two sprays of Ceando per crop.
Ceando should be used as part of a resistance management strategy that includes use in mixtures or sequences that are effective against mildew as well as non-chemical methods e.g. cultural control. Ceando contains metrafenone which is a benzophenone fungicide. Do not apply more than two applications in total of products containing either benozophenones or benzoylpyridines to any one crop. Do not mix with products containing pyriofenone. Avoid using sequential applications of products containing metrafenone.
To reduce the risk of resistance development, where mildew is established at the time of application, Ceando should be used in mix with a mildewicide with an alternative mode of action e.g. fenpropimorph (Corbel).
Strains of certain diseases with decreased sensitivity to triazole fungicides are known to exist in the UK. Where these occur or develop, Ceando may not give satisfactory control.
Ceando contains a DMI fungicide. Resistance to some DMI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) which may seriously affect the performance of some products. For further advice on resistance management in DMIs contact your agronomist or specialist advisor, and visit the FRAG-UK website.

Crops
Ceando can be used on all varieties of winter wheat, durum wheat, spring wheat, winter barley, spring barley, oats, rye and triticale.
Time of application
Apply Ceando at the start of foliar disease attack. A maximum of two applications can be made up to the beginning of flowering (GS61) in winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, rye and triticale and up to and including emergence of ear just complete (GS59) in winter and spring barley and oats.
For protection against Fusarium ear blight and sooty moulds (Cladosporium, Botrytis) on the ears of winter and spring wheat and durum wheat apply Ceando during ear emergence.
Rate of application
Apply 1.5 litres Ceando in 200 to 400 litres of water per hectare.
Qualified recommendation
If required, water volumes down to 100 litres per hectare may be used, however these have not been supported by
effectiveness or crop safety data.

Following crops
After treating a cereal crop with Ceando, cereals, oilseed rape, sugar beet, linseed, maize, clover, field beans, peas, turnips, carrots, cauliflower, onions, lettuce and potatoes can be planted as succeeding crops.

Mixing
Never prepare more spray solution than is required.
Fill the tank half full with water and start the agitation. To ensure thorough mixing of the product, invert the container several times before opening. Add the required quantity of Ceando to the spray tank while re-circulating. Fill up the tank with water and continue agitation until spraying is completed.
When tank mixes are to be used, take due note of any instructions given as to the order of mixing. Each product should be added
separately to the spray tank and fully dispersed before the addition of any further product(s).
On emptying the container, rinse container thoroughly by using an integrated pressure rinsing device or manually rinsing three
times. Add washings to sprayer at time of filling and dispose of container safely.

Application
Apply as a MEDIUM spray, as defined by BCPC.
