Formulation:
Contains 125 gms/litre (12% w/w) flutriafol.

A broad-spectrum triazole fungicide for control of diseases in cereal crops.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
RESTRICTIONS
Disease control may be reduced if strains of a pathogen less sensitive to Consul develop.
1. Strains of mildew with decreased sensitivity to triazole fungicides are known to exist in the UK. Where these occur or develop, the activity of the flutriafol component of Consul will be reduced.
2. Under conditions of stress, some varieties of wheat can exhibit flag leaf tip scorch. This can be increased by application of fungicides.
3. The maximum number of sprays of a product containing flutriafol to any cereal crop should be no more than two (250g ai/season).
4. Consul contains a DMI fungicide. Resistance to some DMI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) which may seriously affect the performance of some products. For further advice on resistance management in DMIs, contact your agronomist or specialist advisor and visit the Fungicide Resistance Action Group (FRAG) U.K.website

RECOMMENDATIONS
As a general rule, disease control and yield benefit will be optimal when application is made at an early stage of disease development.
Rate of Application: 1.0 litre per hectare

MIXING AND APPLICATION
1. Preparation of Sprayer
Ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give even application at the required volume. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation. Shake the container well before opening and use. Add the correct amount of Consul to the tank using a filling device (e.g. an induction hopper) or by direct addition to the tank. Rinse the container clean preferably with an integrated pressure rinsing device, otherwise manually rinse three times. Add the washings to the spray tank at the time of filling. Continue to agitate during completion of filling and the spraying operation.
2. Volume of Water and Spraying
Apply through conventional crop spraying equipment with a ‘Medium’ quality spray and using at least 200 litres of water per hectare and a pressure of 2.1 bar. In dense crops, increase the water volume to 250-300 litres per hectare to improve coverage.

COMPATIBILITY
Consul is compatible with a wide range of plant protection products. Please consult Headland Agrochemicals or your distributor for the latest information. Alternatively, full compatibility information is available on our web-site at www.headland-ag.co.uk.
Before using any tank mixture, also consult and comply with the recommendations of the partner products. Each product should be added separately to the bulk of the water in the spray tank and thoroughly mixed before adding the next chemical. Agitate during completion of filling and spray immediately
