DAMOCLES is a protectant fungicide for disease control in wheat and barley.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
DAMOCLES is a protectant fungicide that gives long-lasting protection of treated foliage when applied before the disease colonises the crop or at least at the very first sign of disease attack. Thus it is very important to achieve good coverage of all the crop foliage. DAMOCLES should be used as part of an integrated control programme and should be applied in combination with a suitable broad spectrum tank-mix partner.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION INCLUDING DISEASES CONTROLLED
Winter and spring wheat.
Diseases: DAMOCLES will control Septoria tritici (Leaf Spot) and Septoria (Leptosphaeria) nodorum (Glume blotch) in wheat. Note: If high levels of mildew are present in the crop at application, reduced activity may be experienced against Septoria. Where mildew occurs, apply DAMOCLES in mixture with an effective mildew fungicide.
Dose: Apply DAMOCLES at 2.0 L/ha as a medium spray (as defined by BCPC) in a water volume of 200 L/ha at a pressure of at least 2.0 bar.
Timing: Up to two applications of DAMOCLES are permitted in wheat. An application between GS 30 and GS 32 (2nd node detectable) should be made to protect against the colonisation and spread of Septoria tritici on the leaves. For activity against Septoria on the flag leaf and ear an application should be made between GS 33 and mid flowering stage (GS 65). Best activity is achieved by applying 2.0 L/ha DAMOCLES between GS 33 and flag leaf fully emerged (GS 39).

Winter and Spring barley.
Diseases: DAMOCLES will give moderate control of Rhynchosporium secalis and, when used in programmes with other fungicides, can also give control of Barley Spotting.
Dose: Apply DAMOCLES at 2.0 L/ha as a medium spray (as defined by BCPC) in a water volume of 200 L/ha at a pressure of at least 2.0 bar.
Timing: Apply 2.0 L/ha DAMOCLES at the first sign of Rhynchosporium in the crop. Where the disease pressure from Rhynchosporium is severe or where there is a risk of leaf spotting, a second application of 2.0 L/ha should be made just before the beginning of heading (GS 51)

MIXING
Before spraying it is important to check all hoses, filters and nozzles, and to ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give an even application at the correct volume. Shake the container thoroughly. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Begin agitation and add the required quantity of DAMOCLES. Add the remainder of the water and maintain agitation during spraying. Spray immediately after mixing.

COMPATIBIITY
DAMOCLES is compatible with a wide range of other products. When mixing DAMOCLES with other products add DAMOCLES to the tank first and ensure that it is fully dispersed before adding other products. Maintain constant agitation and spray the mixtures without delay.
