DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DISEASES CONTROLLED
Dimix 500 SC is a systemic fungicide containing 500 g/L dimethomorph. It must be used in tank mixtures with a contact fungicide (mancozeb) for the preventative treatment and control of foliar Potato blight (Phytophthora infestans) on potato.
Dimix will be most effective when applied as a protectant programme before disease symptoms appear, or in accordance with appropriate disease monitoring and forecasting systems following periods of high infection risk.

RESTRICTIONS/WARNINGS
Consult processors before use on crops for processing.
Dimix is not authorised for use as a solo product and must be applied in tank mixture with an authorised formulation of mancozeb
Cereal crops may be planted as part of a normal rotation following the use of Dimix 500 SC. 120 days must elapse after the application of Dimix 500 SC before any crops other than cereals are planted.

SUCCEEDING CROPS
Do not sow clover until the spring following application.

CROP-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Dose Rate
Apply Dimix 500 SC at 0.3 L/ha (equivalent to 150 g dimethomorph/ha) in tank mixture with an approved mancozeb formulation at an equivalent dose rate of 1340 g mancozeb/ha in 200-400L/ha water.

Timing
Dimix should be applied as part of a repeat spray programme at 7-14 day intervals, depending on disease pressure. Applications must only be made between tuber initiation (BBCH 40) and berries in the first frutification shrivelled, seed dark (BBCH 89).
As disease pressure and the risk of late blight infection increases, the interval should be shortened. Irrigated crops should be treated as high risk. Applications of Dimix should begin after tuber initiation (BBCH 40) as soon as there is a risk of blight infection, or an official blight warning has been issued. In the absence of any warnings, applications should commence before the crop meets along the rows.

APPLICATION
Apply in 200-400L/ha of water.
Add the required quantity of Dimix 500 SC to a half-filled spray tank with continuous agitation, then add the remaining volume of water.
Spray immediately after mixing and continue agitation during spraying. Rinse all equipment well immediately after use. Follow any specific washing instructions on the label of products applied in mixture with Dimix 500 SC.
Do not leave spray mixture in the tank for long periods such as during breaks or overnight.
Tank-Mix recommendations: Dimix 500 SC must always be used in tank mixture with an authorised mancozeb potato blight fungicide.
Apply using standard field sprayers as a MEDIUM spray. Always follow the instructions given on the label of the tank-mix partner.

Tank Cleaning
Wash sprayer thoroughly immediately after use, using clean water and following best practice advice and the guidance provided by the equipment manufacturer.
