Crops
Frupica can be used on outdoor and protected strawberries.

Mixing
Shake well before use. Fill the tank with half the required volume of water. Measure the appropriate amount of Frupica into the tank and make up to the required volume of water. Agitate thoroughly before and during application.

Application
Frupica should be applied as a preventative spray at a rate of 0.68 l/ha under conditions where Botrytis could develop. This rate can be increased to 0.9 l/ha under conditions of severe disease pressure. The product should be applied in 500 to 1000 litres of water/ha to ensure complete coverage of the strawberry plant.

Method of application
Tractor mounted sprayer/ knapsack/ rotary atomiser.

Timing
The first application should be made from the start of flowering, with a second application 7– 10 days later or as required in a programme of treatments. A maximum of two applications should be made per crop. To maintain control of Botrytis cinerea, Frupica must be used as part of a programme with other fungicides that provide effective control of grey mould. (See also Other information).

Rate of use
Maximum individual dose: 0.9 l/ha Tank washing procedure Immediately after application of Frupica, drain tank completely. Any contamination on the outside of the spraying equipment should be removed by washing with water and a commercially available cleaning agent. Rinse inside of tank with clean water and cleaning
agent and flush through boom and hoses using at least one tenth of the spray tank volume. Drain completely. Do not contaminate surface waters or ditches with chemical or used container.
Dispose of spray washings in accordance with the Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Pesticides on Farms and Holdings (DEFRA).

Storage
Store above 5°C. Protect from frost.

Other information
Resistance of Botrytis species can occur to groups of chemicals if they are over used. There is currently no known resistance to Frupica. However, as a precaution, it is advisable to use other products from different chemical groups as part of a mixed spray programme. Do not use more than two applications per crop of Frupica or other anilinopyrimidine containing products, such as pyrimethanil (e.g. Scala). Frupica is an anilinopyrimidine fungicide. Do not allow direct spray from crop sprayers to fall within 5 m of the top of a static or flowing water body or within 1 m of the top of a ditch that is dry at the time of application. Consult processor before using on crops for processing.
