DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

Restrictions:
Potatoes should only be treated by a means which provide an accurate dose.

Resistance
Only apply Hykeep to crops where there is a likely risk of disease during the storage period, and in combination with good storage hygiene and maintenance to reduce disease risk.
Strains of some fungi may develop resistance to fungicides after prolonged use. Benzimidazole (eg, thiabendazole, carbendazim) tolerant strains of Silver Scurf (Helminthosporium solani) and Skin Spot (Polyscytalum pustulans), are common in the UK and tolerant strains of Dry Rot (Fusarium spp) have been reported. Benzimidazole fungicides are ineffective against these strains. In order to reduce the chance of such strains increasing, potatoes should not be treated with this or other benzimidazole based products more than once in their cropping cycle.

APPLICATION
Post Harvest
Uniformly apply 2kg of HYKEEP over each tonne of potatoes as they are loaded into the store. For best results HYKEEP should be applied as soon after lifting as possible and in any case, always within 24 hours. The dust should be evenly distributed over the whole tuber surface using a dust applicator, correctly mounted according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Further information on the treating of potatoes with fungicides can be found in "Guidelines for Effective and Safe Application of Potato Tuber Treatments" publ. BCPC. Excess soil or trash may prevent good coverage and should therefore be avoided.

Terms and Conditions of Supply, Sale or Use
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the highest specification of the product, it is impossible to eradicate all inherent risks associated with its use which as a result of factors beyond our control, could bring about certain other unintended consequences or even prove to be ineffective.By far the greatest cause of ineffectiveness is the failure of the user to follow label instructions. In addition, certain circumstances; soil and climatic conditions, compatibility with other substances, the method manner and time of application can all play a part in determining the product's effectiveness.
Prolonged use can cause strains of fungi to develop resistance to some fungicides. If treatment is not effective following the use of HYKEEP, tolerant strains of fungi may be present and subsequent crop application should be carried out using suitable non-benzimidazole fungicides. The buyer accepts and assumes the risks involved in the use of the product and the seller does not accept any liability for damage or adverse effects resulting therefrom. These conditions cannot be varied by our staff, our agents or by re-sellers of the product whether or not they supervise or assist in the use of such goods.
