A protectant/systemic fungicide used to control late blight in potatoes.

Infinito gives you control of all stages of the blight life-cycle, as well as providing long-lasting control of foliar and tuber blight in order to maximise yields in your potato crop.

Infinito has two unique modes of action. It is the only blight product which is able to offer you the combination of high levels control of foliar and tuber blight with the reassurance of kickback activity.  Infinito should form the cornerstone of your canopy complete blight control programme and help you to tackle the challenges of the current aggressive strains of blight.

Proven performance against foliar and tuber blight
Systemic, protectant and translaminar activity
Consistent high-level protection for leaves, stems and tubers
Unique action on all stages of the blight life-cycle
Outstanding anti-sporulant activity
Long-lasting, rainfast in one hour and no LERAP
Excellent crop safety
For use in the canopy complete part of the programme

To get the best performance from Infinito and achieve effective protection against all strains of blight, use it at 1.6 L/ha at seven-day spray intervals. Before application always read the label.
Depending on variety, crops start to flower and initiate tubers towards the end of the rapid growth stage when the canopy is almost complete. Using Infinito before this does not make best use of the tuber blight activity of fluopicolide. The best time to incorporate Infinito into a blight programme is from canopy completion onwards.

Infinito is designed for use as part of a programme, following the rapid phase of growth
Infinito will protect tubers from late blight infection prior to harvest and reduce blight incidence in storage
Infinito can be used on all varieties of potatoes and crops grown for seed
Apply only to dry foliage, do not apply if rainfall or irrigation is imminent. Rainfastness is one hour provided the spray has dried on the leaf
Avoid drift to areas outside those being sprayed
Apply only as a protectant treatment, do not use once blight has become readily visible in the crop
Do not exceed 6.4 L/ha per crop

Infinito should be used as part of a programme to control Late blight in conjunction with a product such as Consento, which can be used during the rapid growth stage. Infinito can then be applied during the mid to late season to provide robust foliar and tuber protection.

POTATO
Maximum individual dose: 1.6 L product per hectare
Maximum total dose: 6.4 L product per hectare per crop
Latest time of application: 7 days before harvest

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This leaflet is approved as part of the label. All instructions on this leaflet and on the label should be read carefully in order to obtain successful results from the use of this product.

RESTRICTIONS
Apply Infinito only to dry foliage. Do not apply Infinito if rainfall or irrigation is imminent.
Rainfastness: 1 hour, providing the spray has dried on the leaf.
Avoid drift to areas outside those being sprayed having due regard to the prevailing weather conditions and the spray quality being used.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Infinito may be used on all varieties of potato and crops grown for seed.

DISEASES CONTROLLED
When used as part of a full blight protection programme of correctly timed sprays, Infinito gives control of late blight of potatoes (Phytophthora infestans).
Infinito will protect tubers from the risk of late blight infection after harvest and reduce tuber blight incidence when used as part of a full blight protection programme.

Resistance management
To reduce the incidence of resistance developing, Infinito should be used in single or block applications in alternation with fungicides from a different cross-resistance group.

TIMING AND DOSE
Applications must be made preventively as part of a blight control programme with regard to blight Infection periods or local blight warnings. In the absence of any warnings, applications should commence when the crop meets along the row.
Apply Infinito at 1.2 to 1.6 L/ha on a 7-10 day spray interval, depending on disease pressure. As disease pressure and the risk of late blight infection increases, the dose should be increased and the interval shortened. Irrigated crops should be treated as high risk.
Infinito may be applied at a shorter interval than indicated above should there be an agronomic need as long as all other conditions of use are followed – particularly the maximum number of treatments, maximum total dose and the latest timing.
Infinito should be applied as a protectant treatment. Do not apply as a curative treatment when blight is present in the crop. When blight has become readily visible (1% leaf area destroyed), fungicides have little effect on subsequent development. Stop using Infinito under these conditions.

Tuber blight
Used as part of a full blight protection programme, Infinto will protect tubers from the risk of late blight infection after harvest and reduce tuber blight incidence when applied at the recommended dose and spray intervals from full canopy development to haulm desiccation.

APPLICATION
Infinito must be applied to dry foliage using appropriate spray equipment.

Water volume
Apply in 200-400 litres of water per hectare

SPRAY QUALITY
Apply as a MEDIUM quality spray (for details see Boom Sprayers Handbook published by BCPC).

SPRAY OPERATORS INSTRUCTIONS
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE
1. Wash out sprayer, spray bars and nozzles to ensure that no trace remains of previous chemicals.
2. Check that the nozzle tips are clean, undamaged, of the correct type to produce the recommended spray quality and all of the same size.
3. Start filling the sprayer tank with clean water; check that the agitation is operating correctly. Check dose and volume of application.
4. Calculate the area to be sprayed with the tank load and hence the amount of chemical required. Add the required quantity of product to the water in the sprayer whilst the agitator is operating. Mix only sufficient chemical for immediate use.
5. Add water to the required level and continue agitation until spraying is completed.
6. Ensure that the spray bars are set at the correct height to give a good spray cover, and that alternate spray cones or fans meet just above the crop. Even cover with a well-mixed spray is essential for good results.
7. Commence spraying, being careful to maintain the correct pressure and tractor speed.
8. Wash equipment thoroughly with water and liquid detergent immediately after use. Finally wash out twice with water and drain.

CONTAINER DISPOSAL
Empty containers should be disposed of in a safe way.
