An emulsifiable concentrate containing 750 g/l (82.4% w/w) fenpropidin.
A piperidine fungicide for control of mildew and moderate control of Rhynchosporium and brown and yellow rust on Wheat and Barley.

Directions for Use: Application Rate
Apply INSTINCT at 1.0 litre/ha. As a general rule, disease control and yield benefit will be optimal when application is made at an early stage of disease development.

Diseases Controlled
Wheat: INSTINCT will control mildew and provide moderate control of brown and yellow rust.
Barley: INSTINCT will control mildew and brown rust, and provide moderate control of yellow rust and Rhynchosporium.

Application Volumes
Apply through conventional crop spraying equipment with a ‘Medium’ quality spray and using at least 200 litres of water per hectare and a pressure of 2-3 bar. In dense crops, increase the water volume to 300-400 litres per hectare to improve coverage.

Crops and Timings
INSTINCT can be applied to Winter and Spring Wheat and Winter and Spring Barley up to and including the ‘ear emergence just complete’ stage (ZGS59).

Restrictions
1. Disease control may be reduced if strains of a pathogen less sensitive to INSTINCT develop.
2. INSTINCT contains a piperazine fungicide, a reductase/isomerase inhibitor.
To minimise the risk of resistance developing, it is advisable to use INSTINCT in mixtures with fungicides from other groups.
3. Do not make more than 2 applications of INSTINCT to Spring Barley and Spring Wheat, and no more that 3 to Winter Barley and Winter Wheat, of which no more than 2 should be in the year of harvest.
4. Do not harvest crops for human or animal consumption for at least 5 weeks after the last application.

Mixing and Application:
Ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give even application at the required volume. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation.
Shake the container well before opening and use. Add the correct amount of INSTINCT to the tank using a filling device (e.g. an induction hopper) or by direct addition to the tank.
Rinse the container clean preferably with an integrated pressure rinsing device, otherwise manually rinse three times. Add the washings to the spray tank at the time of filling. Maintain agitation during completion of filling and the spraying operation.
