Kindred® is an emulsifiable concentrate containing 350 g/litre (33.2% w/w) meptyldinocap.
A protectant fungicide for the control of POWDERY MILDEW in GRAPES.
 
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION
KINDRED* is a protectant fungicide for the control of powdery mildew. A protective film should be maintained on the leaf at all times. KINDRED must be applied before powdery mildew becomes established otherwise the disease may not be controlled.
 
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Meptyldinocap is a dinitrophenol fungicide with multisite activity which has shown no resistance to date. To reduce the possibility of the development of resistance developing:
Carry out careful monitoring. Target early infestations and apply when the disease is first seen. 
Apply KINDRED in rotation or tank mixture with products with a different mode of action. 
Do not use reduced label rates.
  
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
Apply KINDRED using a horizontal boom sprayer or a broadcast air-assisted sprayer. Ensure spray equipment is in good working order and has been calibrated according to the manufacturers' recommendations.
 
MIXING
To ensure thorough mixing of the product invert the container several times before opening. Half fill the spray tank with water, begin agitation and add the required quantity of KINDRED. Fill up the spray tank, agitating continuously to ensure thorough mixing, and maintain agitation until spraying is complete. Use only clean water for mixing. Use the spray solution immediately after preparation.
 
GRAPES (TABLE AND WINE)
Disease: Powdery mildew Rate 0.6 litres/ha
Water volume: 200-1000 litres of water per hectare. Where necessary use the higher water volume to achieve good coverage.
Maximum number of applications: In any one season the total amount of product applied should not exceed 2.4 litres/ha, which is equivalent to 4 sprays at the rate of 0.6 litres/ha. Do not exceed a maximum total of 4 applications in the growing season.
Time of application :Apply just before flowering and thereafter at 10 day intervals.
Latest time of application: 21 days before harvest
Warning: KINDRED may cause damage to some varieties of grapevines; this is most likely under conditions of very high and fluctuating temperatures.
 
ROTECTED STRAWBERRY CROPS
Disease: Powdery mildew
Rate: 0.6 litres/ha
Water volume: 500-1000 litres of water per hectare. Where necessary use the higher water volume to achieve good coverage.
Maximum number of applications: In any one season the total amount of product applied should not exceed 1.8 litres/ha, which is equivalent to 3 sprays at the rate of 0.6 litres/ha. Do not exceed a maximum total of 3 applications in the growing season.
Time of application :The optimal timing for KINDRED is to the foliage before flowering and prior to powdery mildew becoming firmly established in the crop.
Do not make more than one application to fruits.
An application may also be made at the end of harvest
Application interval: A minimum 10 day interval between sprays must be observed but residual control from KINDRED will typically be less than this and additional control measures may be required between sprays.
Latest time of application: 3 days before harvest.
