DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

PROTECT FROM FROST
KURDI is a mixture of a strobilurin and a triazolinthione fungicide recommended for control of a wide range of diseases on winter and spring barley, winter wheat and winter rye.

CROPS SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS
KURDI may be used on all commercial varieties of winter and spring barley, winter wheat and winter rye.
Winter wheat and winter rye:
Apply 1.5 litres per hectare for winter wheat and winter rye in 200-300 litres per hectare at a pressure of 2-3 bar and with a MEDIUM spray quality (as defined by BCPC). Maximum total dose per crop is 3.0 litres per hectare. KURDI may be applied at any stage before grain milky ripe stage.

Barley
Apply 1.25 litres per hectare for winter wheat and winter rye in 200-300 litres per hectare at a pressure of 2-3 bar and with a MEDIUM spray quality (as defined by BCPC). Maximum total dose per crop is 2.5 litres per hectare. KURDI may be applied at any stage before the beginning of flowering stage.

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Mixing Procedure
Ensure sprayer is set to correct volume and will give even application
Begin agitation once the spray tank is filled with water to half the required volume.
Shake the bottle of KURDI thoroughly before use.
Add the required amount of KURDI
Allow to disperse before adding any more fluid to the tank
Add the remaining water while continuing to agitate
Continue to agitate whilst spraying and during stoppages
Spray immediately after mixing

Tank washing
Ensure rinsings containing product are added to the spray tank and sprayed on the crop being treated. The product is removed from spray tanks by rinsing with water and detergent.

Sprayers
Clean sprayers, filters and jets thoroughly before use and check for damage and blockages. Adjust boom height to ensure even crop coverage but ensuring the spray from alternating nozzles meets just above the crop. Dense growth in crops at later growth stages will require higher volumes of water. Wash thoroughly with water and detergent after use.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Apply fungicides according to manufacturer’s recommendations for the target disease (or complex) at the specific crop growth stage indicated. Effective disease management is a critical parameter in delaying the build-up of resistant pathogen populations. KURDI is a mixture of two fungicides with different modes of action, a strobilurin and a triazolinthione.

Qol cross resistance:
KURDI contains fluoxastrobin, a member of the Qol cross-resistance group. KURDI should be used preventatively and should not be relied on for its curative potential. In order to prevent build up of resistance in crops KURDI should be used as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy which incorporates other methods of control, including where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action. Ensure that you only apply KURDI twice to any crop. No other Qol-containing product should be used if KURDI has been applied twice, and no more than 2 applications of Qol products should be applied to any cereal.

Resistance to strobilurin fungicides
A programme of sprays should not include more than 2 sprays of KURDI or any other product that contains a strobilurin fungicide. In areas where wheat powdery mildew strains resistant to strobilurin fungicides have been reported, or where wheat powdery mildew is a common problem, always use strobilurin fungicide in mixture with a suitable dose of a powdery mildew fungicide from a different cross-resistance group.
CAUTION: The possible development of disease strains resistant to KURDI cannot be excluded or predicted. Where such resistant strains occur, KURDI is unlikely to give satisfactory control.
