A soluble concentrate containing 368 g/litre (34.1% w/w) chlormequat chloride and
0.8 g/litre (0.074% w/w) imazaquin.

A plant growth regulator for use in winter wheat.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Restrictions/Warnings
DO NOT apply Meteor when the crop is wet or if rain is imminent.
Do not apply Meteor to any crop suffering physical stress caused by waterlogging, drought or other conditions.
Crops with a substantial moisture deficit should not be treated. Avoid spray drift on to neighbouring crops.
Do not use straw from Meteor treated cereals as a horticultural growth medium or as a mulch.
DO NOT apply Meteor to undersown crops.
Caution is needed with mixtures of liquid nitrogen fertilisers and Meteor as scorching may occur in certain circumstances.

General information
METEOR contains two active ingredients, imazaquin and chlormequat chloride.
These active ingredients from different chemical groups have two modes of action, both of which can regulate the growth of wheat and provide protection against lodging.
Applied together as Meteor, imazaquin and chlormequat chloride can enhance yield by affecting the growth of the aerial structure (stem, leaves and ears) of the wheat plant.
Meteor is for use on high yield wheat growing systems. It should be applied to crops during good growing conditions and to those which are at risk from lodging

Crops
For use in all varieties of Winter Wheat (Except Durum Wheat)
Time and rate of application:
RATE:2.5 l/ha
TIMING :SINGLE APPLICATION-May be applied from tillers formed up to and including second node detectable.
The optimum application time is the leaf sheaths erect just prior to the first node detectable.
RATE:1.75 l/ha
TIMING :SINGLE APPLICATION-First dose from tillers formed to leaf sheath lengthening.
RATE:0.75 l/ha
TIMING :SINGLE APPLICATION-Second dose from leaf sheath erect up to and including second node detectable.
When using a split application a minimum spray interval of 7 days is recommended.

 Water Volume
Apply Meteor in a mimumum of 200 litres of water per hectare
Qualified Approval
Meteor may be applied at up to 2.5 l/ha in 100 litres of water per hectare although efficacy at this reduced volume has not been evaluated. Application of this product at reduced-volume is at user’s risk with regard to biological efficacy.

Following crops
Any crop can follow a normally harvested crop and ploughing is not essential before sowing the next crop.

Mixing and Spraying
Mixing
Never prepare more spray solution than is required. Three quarters fill the tank with clean water and start the agitation. To ensure thorough mixing of the product, invert the container several times before opening. Add the required quantity of Meteor to the spray tank while re-circulating. Add the remainder of the water and continue agitation until spraying is complete. When tank mixes are to be used, take due note of any instructions given as to the order of mixing. Each product should be added separately to the spray tank and fully dispersed before the addition of any further product(s). All tank mixes should be used immediately after mixing. Rinse empty containers thoroughly, using an integrated pressure rinsing device or by manually rinsing three times. Add washings to tank at time of filling and dispose of container safely. Wash equipment thoroughly after use.

Spraying
Apply as a MEDIUM spray, as defined by BCPC.
