Selective broad-leaved herbicide for use in wheat (not durum), barley, oats (spring application), rye and triticale

Oxytril CM is our non-ALS herbicide that offers control of a wide range of broad-leaved weeds in cereals including wheat, barley, oats (spring application), rye and triticale. It can be used against especially difficult weeds, particularly in spring.

Oxytril CM can be used against a wide range of difficult-to-control weeds including black-bindweed, poppy and charlock. As a non-ALS herbicide it can be used in a wide range of tank-mixes and sequences.

Controls a wide range of broad-leaved weeds
No ALS or FOP/DIM tank-mix or sequence restrictions
Can be used in cereals including wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale

To get the best out Oxytril CM use it before weeds have three true leaves. You can use Oxytril CM in the autumn or as a spring application on wheat (not durum), barley, rye and triticale. You should only use it in the spring on autumn and spring-sown oats when the risk of frost is over. For autumn and spring-sown cereals, spray from the two-leaf stage of the crop (GS 12), but before second node detectable stage (GS 32).

Don’t use on undersown cereals
Don’t use where crops are under stress
Treat before second node detectable stage (GS 32)
Do not apply during long frosty periods
Don’t use on durum wheat or apply on winter oats in the autumn
Don’t use on oats until the risk of frost is over
Don’t apply within seven days of rolling
Don’t apply at less than recommended water volumes.
Don’t apply during wintry weather or during periods of drought, or when frost or heavy rain is imminent.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product. OXYTRIL CM is an emulsifiable concentrate recommended for use as a selective weedkiller for the control of a wide range of annual broadleaved weeds.

RESTRICTIONS
DO NOT apply during long frosty periods
DO NOT use on durum wheat
DO NOT apply on winter oats in the Autumn
DO NOT use on oats until the risk of frost is over
DO NOT apply within seven days of rolling
DO NOT apply at less than recommended water volumes.
DO NOT apply during wintry weather or during periods of drought, or when frost or heavy rain is imminent.

Susceptible crops are beans, brassicas (including oilseed rape), carrots, legumes, lettuce, tomatoes and other horticultural crops

WEEDS CONTROLLED
Oxytril CM alone:
The following weeds will be controlled post-emergence at all stages up to 2-3 true leaves. Weeds which emerge AFTER spraying has taken place will NOT be controlled.
Black-bindweed, Bugloss, Charlock, Common fumitory, Common poppy, Fat-hen, Fiddleneck, Field forget-me-not, Knotgrass, Mayweeds, Pale persicaria, Redshank, Scarlet pimpernel, Small nettle, Speedwells, Wild radish (runch).

OXYTRIL CM will not control cleavers, corn spurrey, any perennial broad-leaved weeds or any grasses (annual or perennial).
NOTE: Adequate crop competition in the period following treatment is essential for good weed control. Do not spray under drought conditions or when frost is expected.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Use before second node detectable stage (GS32).
Autumn or Spring Application
Autumn and spring-sown cereals – namely wheat (not durum), barley, rye and triticale.
Spring Application Only
Autumn and Spring-sown oats
Treat in the spring when the risk of frost is over
Timing
Autumn and spring-sown cereals - Spray from the two leaf stage of the crop (GS12) but before second node detectable satge (GS32). Treatment is safe to the crop throughout these stages, but
the best results will occur when spraying is carried out when weeds are small and the competition is removed early.

MIXING
Half fill the spray tank with clean water.
Add the required amount of Oxytril CM. Top up with clean water. Ensure thorough mixing before and during spraying.

DO NOT ALLOW TO STAND WITHOUT AGITATION.
Autumn and spring-sown cereals: up to 1.0 L/ha
Use in 150-400 L/ha of water as a MEDIUM spray (BCPC category). The high rate should be used wherever the crop canopy or weed infestation is dense.
Oxytril CM has contact action only and therefore, good penetration and coverage of the weeds is essential. Application should be made at a pressure of not less than 2 bar and according to the
sprayer manufacturer’s instructions.

COMPATIBILITY
Yield of winter barley may not be optimum where Oxytril CM is applied in a tank-mix with mecoprop to low vigour crops on light soils or crops on light soils or crops that are stressed and where sharp or severe frosts occur within 3-4 weeks of application.
