TARGETS: Wheat: Septoria spp. Yellow and Brown Rust, Powdery Mildew, Eyespot (useful reduction). Can reduce the severity of Take-all (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. Tritici). When used to control other diseases, PRIORI XTRA will also control wheat powdery mildew.
Barley: Net Blotch, Powdery Mildew, Brown Rust, Rhynchosporium (moderate control), Eyespot (useful reduction). Can reduce the severity of Take-all (Gaeumannomyces graminis var. Tritici).
Oats: Crown Rust and Powdery Mildew.
Rye: Brown Rust, Rhynchosporium (moderate control), Powdery Mildew.
Oilseed rape: Dark Leaf and Pod Spot (Alternaria brassicae) and Sclerotinia Stem Rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum)
Sugar beet/fodder beet: Powdery mildew (Erysiphe betae), Rust (Uromyces betae), Ramularia leaf spot (Ramularia beticola) and Cercospera leaf spot (Cercospora beticola)

GENERAL INFORMATION
PRIORI XTRA contains both a triazole and a strobilurin fungicide. It has contact and systemic activity, with protectant properties for the control of a wide range of diseases in all commercial varieties of winter and spring wheat, winter and spring barley, winter and spring oats, rye and winter and spring oilseed rape.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
WHEAT, BARLEY, OATS and RYE
Spray timing
Treatment at early stages of disease development will ensure the best results. Apply at first sign of disease attack. A further application may be needed if disease attack is   prolonged.
Take-all
When used to control the listed foliar diseases, PRIORI XTRA applied at the first or second node stage of the crop can reduce the severity of Take-all  infection.
Rate of Use
1 litre per hectare
Resistance Management
Use PRIORI XTRA as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy incorporating other methods of control, including where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action. You must not apply more than two foliar applications of Qol containing products to any cereal crop
PRIORI XTRA contains a DMI fungicide. Resistance to some DMI fungicides has been identified in Septoria leaf blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola) which may seriously affect the performance of some products. For further advice on resistance management in DMIs contact your agronomist or specialist advisor, and visit the FRAG-UK website. Failure to follow resistance management action may result in reduced levels of disease control.
Strains of wheat and barley powdery mildew resistant to Qol’s are common in the UK.  Control of  wheat powdery mildew can only be relied upon from the triazole component.  Where specific control    of wheat mildew is required this should be achieved through a programme of measures, including products with recommendations for control of mildew that contain different active substances used in mixture orsequence

OILSEED RAPE
Timing
Before applying PRIORI XTRA, ensure the crop is free from any stress caused by environmental or agronomic effects. Best results will be achieved from applications made as a protectant treatment following a disease risk assessment or the use of appropriate decision support   systems.
A second treatment may be required if disease pressure remains high
Sclerotinia- PRIORI XTRA should be applied as a protectant spray during flowering. The optimum timing is early flowering to mid flowering (GS60 -  GS65).
A late application of PRIORI XTRA against Sclerotinia will also limit the development of  Alternaria.
Rate Of Use
1 litre per hectare
Resistance Management
To avoid the likelihood of resistance developing, application of PRIORI XTRA should be made with due regard to current FRAG-UK guidelines for Qol compounds. Do not make more than two applications of PRIORI XTRA to crops of oilseed rape. Use PRIORI XTRA as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy

SUGAR BEET AND FODDER BEET
Timing
Apply PRIORI XTRA at the first signs of the disease, before it becomes established. A single application of PRIORI XTRA may give adequate disease protection from re-infection, but a second application can be applied where crops are at risk from later attacks. Under sustained high risk of disease, care is required to ensure that the 2nd application is applied no later than the first sign of re-infection.   Allow a minimum of 21 days between  applications.
Applications of PRIORI XTRA can be made up to 36 days before  harvest
Rate Of Use
0.9 litre per hectare
Two applications may be made per  crop
Resistance Management
To avoid the likelihood of resistance developing, application of PRIORI XTRA should be made with due regard to current FRAG-UK guidelines for Qol compounds.  Do not make more than two applications    of PRIORI XTRA to crops of sugar and fodder beet. Use PRIORI XTRA as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM)strategy

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give an even application at the required volume. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation. Shake the container and add the required amount of PRIORI XTRA to the sprayer using a filling device (e.g. induction bowl or closed transfer unit) or by direct addition to the sprayer tank.
Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rinsing device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of filling. Complete filling to the required volume and continue to agitate throughout the spraying operation.
Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight).

Volume of water and spraying
Cereals and oilseed rape - Apply in a recommended 200 litres of water per hectare
Sugar beet and fodder beet - Apply in a recommended 200-400 litres of water per hectare
Use a medium quality spray (BCPC) at a pressure of at least 2 bar. Apply through conventional crop spraying equipment.

After spraying

Thoroughly wash out sprayer according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and dispose of washings and clean containers according to DEFRA Code of Practice and local water authority guidelines.
