A four-day interval is required between application and harvesting with each application technique.

 

On some mushroom strains under certain conditions, as with other chemicals, a degree of malformation or crop delay may occur.

 

 

Store in a safe, dry place away from spawn and other chemicals in a safe, dry place designated as an agrochemical store.

 

 

Clean and puncture empty containers and store in a secure compound before disposing of them to a site licensed for such waste by the Local Authority. Consult the MAFF/HSE publication “Pesticides: Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Pesticides on Farms and Holdings“ before undertaking disposal.

 

Control Sporgon 50 WP is a fungicide for the control of Verticillium (dry bubble), Mycogone (wet bubble) and Cladobotryum spp (Dactylium dendroides) (cobweb) diseases in mushrooms.

Sporgon 50 WP is recommended as a casing treatment or as a spray between flushes. Dose and spray timing are determined by the anticipated occurrence of disease.

 

There is evidence that certain populations of Cladobotryum spp (Dactylium dendroides) are less sensitive to Sporgon 50 WP than is normally the case. For further information contact Sylvan Spawn Limited.

 

Maximum Individual Dose Do not exceed the doses stated below. The maximum approved dose for Sporgon 50 WP is 120g per 100m2 of bed area.

 

Either 2 at the maximum individual dose or 3 at the reduced dose of 60 g per 100 m2 of bed area.

A maximum dose of 240g product per 100 m2 /crop must not be exceeded

1. Disease anticipated prior to, or during, first flush:- Incorporate 120g Sporgon 50 WP per 100m2 of bed area to be cased, in casing mix or at first watering in up to 180 litres water. If required, one further application at the same rate may be sprayed between first and second or second and third flushes.

2. Disease anticipated in second flush - three application technique:

- Apply 60g Sporgon WP in up to 180 litres of water per 100m2 7 days after casing and after the first and third flushes.

3. Disease anticipated in the third or later flushes - two application technique:- Apply 120g Sporgon 50 WP in up to 180 litres of water per 100m2 between 7 and 9 days after casing and again between the second and third flushes.
