Sulphur as a fungicide
Sulphur is a protectant fungicide so best results will be achieved by applying before disease becomes established, and maintaining this protective cover with regular applications while the crop remains susceptible. Good foliar cover is essential for optimum disease control. If disease is already established in the crop, it should be treated with a suitable eradicant fungicide before applications of sulphur begin.
Where fungicide recommendations are made in the following sections, they form part of the label approved under the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 (MAPP No. 12879) which should be read carefully before the product is used.

Formulation: Headland Sulphur is a very high quality suspension concentrate with an average particle size of 3 microns. This gives outstanding foliar cover for efficient fungicide activity and allows rapid conversion into available sulphur in the soil. The suspension is easy to pour, disperses readily and suspends well in water. It is chemically and physically stable and is compatible with a wide range of other products.

Shake the container well before use.
Place half the required amount of water in the spray tank, add the required amount of Headland Sulphur with agitation and then add the remaining water to the correct level. Maintain agitation while travelling to work and throughout the spraying operation.
On emptying the container, RINSE THOROUGHLY by using an integrated pressure washer or by manually rinsing three times. Add the washings to the sprayer at the time of filling and dispose of the container safely. Do not re-use the container for any purpose.
After spraying, empty all filters, spray lines etc. of dilute spray and wash out the sprayer tank with dilute washing soda solution. Flush the tank with clean water and pump through the booms to clean all parts of the sprayer.
Do not apply Headland Sulphur in strong sunlight or when the temperature is above 25°C.
