For the control of broad-leaved weeds in sugar beet, fodder beet and mangel. An emulsifiable concentrate formulation (EC) containing 100 g/l ethofumesateand 80 g/l phenmedipham in isophorone.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
TEAMFORCE is a selective herbicide for control of annual broad-leaved weeds in sugar beet, fodder beet and mangel. It acts mainly by contact action, but under favourable growing conditions can also give some residual control of later germinating flushes of weeds.

RESTRICTIONS
Do not apply if temperature is likely to rise above 21°C on the day of spraying and avoid spraying in full sunlight. In these cases, delay application until the evening.
Ensure that the crop is not under stress, e.g. from the use of other pesticides, wind damage, lime deficiency, nutrient deficiencies, insect or fungal attack, etc., as this may cause irreversible damage to the crop.
Do not apply immediately after a frost, or if frost is expected.
Care should be taken when using herbicide sequences, particularly on light soils and in wet seasons.
Do not roll or harrow the crop for 7 days before or after application.
Do not apply to wet foliage or during rainfall or drizzle. All varieties of sugar beet, fodder beet and mangel can be sprayed providing the crop is not under stress at the time of application.
Extreme care should be taken to avoid damage by drift onto neighbouring crops, buildings or non-target plants.
Avoid overlapping spray swath.
Application on soils containing 5% or more organic matter may give lower levels of weed control as residual activity can be impeded.
Do not apply TEAMFORCE with any insecticide or adjuvant.
Do not apply to crops suffering from damage due to an earlier herbicide treatment and an interval of at least 7 days should elapse before or after application of broadleaved herbicides or graminicides.

WEED CONTROL
For best control apply when the largest weeds are at the fully expanded cotyledon stage and actively growing.
To give season long control of susceptible weeds it will be necessary to apply a full programme of treatments, making applications as new flushes of weeds appear. Weed control is quicker in warm and moist conditions. In cold, dry conditions where weed growth is slower, effects may take up to 10 days to be seen.
A minimum interval of 5 days must elapse between successive applications.
The crops should not be sprayed before the fully developed cotyledon stage.

APPLICATION RATES
Do not use more than 9 litres TEAMFORCE per ha per crop (growth season).
- 2 litres/ha product when weeds are in the cotyledon - 1st true leaf stage.
- 3 litres/ha product to weeds from the 2nd true leaf stage.

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Apply as an overall post-emergence spray in 200-400 litres water per hectare as a MEDIUM quality spray (BCPC classification).
Apply as a medium quality spray (as defined by BCPC). A spray pressure of 2 – 3 bar is recommended. Check and clean all hoses, nozzles and equipment to be used prior to use. Half fill the sprayer tank with clean water and begin agitation. Add the required quantity of the possible mixing partner and TEAMFORCE afterwards. Fill the spray tank with water as required whilst agitating. Continue agitating during spraying. After application, all equipment should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water at least 2 times. Drain the tank after each rinse.
Care should be taken not to rinse contaminated washings from application equipment into waste water channels. Contaminated cleaning liquids should be disposed of safely according to local regulations.

TANK MIX COMPATIBILITY
The control of weeds can be improved by mixing TEAMFORCE with other approved herbicides. It is recommended to use these tank mixtures as part of a repeated spray programme. TEAMFORCE may be mixed with products based on metamitron.
For information on tank mixes please contact your local distributor or visit the UPL website (www.upleurope.com).
Always read and follow the instructions on the label of the mixing partner.

SUCCEEDING CROPS
Any crop may be sown 3 months after using ‘TEAMFORCE’ mixtures at recommended doses. Ploughing (mould board) to a minimum depth of 15cm should precede preparation of the new seedbed. If crop failure occurs by reason of insect damage, soil blow, capping etc., re-drill only with sugar beet, red beet, fodder beet or mangel.
