TURNSTONE is a fungicide with both contact and systemic activity against a wide range of diseases in winter wheat, oilseed rape and the listed horticultural brassica crops.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
NOTE: These Directions for Use form part of the Approved Product label and must be read before using the product. TURNSTONE is a contact and systemic fungicide for the control of a wide range of diseases in winter wheat and the listed agricultural and horticultural brassica crops. Application to established diseases may be less effective.

VARIETAL SAFETY
There are no restrictions on the varieties safe to treat. TURNSTONE may be used on all commercial varieties of winter wheat, oilseed rape and the listed horticultural brassica crops.

RESISTANCE
TURNSTONE contains a DMI fungicide and resistance to some members of this class of fungicides has been identified in Septoria. In such situations use an appropriate tank mixture or alternate with another fungicide with a different mode of action. Where resistance occurs TURNSTONE may not give adequate disease control. Consult the latest advice from FRAG UK and FRAC regarding disease resistance strategies. Note that only one application of the full dose is permitted in winter wheat.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION INCLUDING DISEASES CONTROLLED
Winter wheat.
Diseases: TURNSTONE will control brown rust, Septoria tritici and reduces ear discoloration.
Dose: Apply TURNSTONE at 0.3 L/ha as a medium spray (as defined by BCPC) in a water volume of 200 L/ha. A total dose of 0.3 L/ha TURNSTONE is permitted, allowing just 1 application of the full dose before the grain is at the milky ripe stage.
Timing: Brown rust should be treated at the first sign of disease. Septoria should be treated before the disease is established in the crop and maximum protection of the upper leaves and ear is achieved by application between full flag leaf emergence (GS 37) and flag leaf sheath swollen (GS 45). Turnstone may be applied up to before the early milk stage of the grain. A second treatment may be required where disease pressure persists. Use a suitable alternative product in a programme with TURNSTONE with consideration of the risk of resistance development. An application of TURNSTONE between growth stages GS37 – 45 will also supplement the activity of other fungicides applied earlier in the disease control programme.

Winter and Spring Oilseed rape.
Diseases: TURNSTONE will control of Light Leaf Spot, Leaf and Pod Spot and Stem Canker.
Dose: Apply TURNSTONE at 0.5 L/ha as a medium spray (as defined by BCPC) in a water volume of 200 L/ha. A total dose of 1.0 L/ha TURNSTONE is permitted, allowing up to 2 applications of the full dose up to before the end of flowering.
Timing: First applications of TURNSTONE for Light Leaf Spot control should be made at the first sign of disease in the autumn, usually from last week in October to first week in December, with a second application at stem extension in early spring where the disease persists. Where the risk of Light Leaf Spot is low, application may be delayed until the first sign of the disease in the spring and where the disease has become established in spring, a tank-mixture with 0.5 L/ha Bavistin FL will improve control. Leaf & Pod Spot & Stem Canker should also be treated at the first sign of disease in the autumn with a second application in the autumn or early spring where the disease reoccurs.

Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli/calabrese and cauliflower.
Diseases: TURNSTONE will control of Leaf Spot and Ring Spot.
Dose: Apply TURNSTONE at 0.3 L/ha as a medium spray (as defined by BCPC) in a water volume of 400 L/ha. A total dose of 0.9 L/ha TURNSTONE is permitted, allowing 3 applications of the full dose up to 21 days before harvest.
Timing: Apply TURNSTONE for Leaf Spot (Altenaria spp.) and Ring Spot control as a three spray programme starting at the first sign of disease and repeated at 14 – 21 day intervals. Allow a minimum of 14 days to elapse between applications to broccoli/calabrese and cauliflower. It is important to start the spray programme before the disease becomes established in the crop.

MIXING
Before spraying it is important to check all hoses, filters and nozzles, and to ensure that the sprayer is clean and correctly set to give an even application at the correct volume. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the required quantity of TURNSTONE and begin agitation. Add the remainder of the water and agitate the mixture thoroughly before and during spraying. Spray immediately after mixing.
