DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label.
All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

NAUTILE DG is for use on potatoes only.
Disease controlled:
Potato blight (Phytophthora infestans).

Crop Specific Information:
Rate of use: 1.8 to 2 kg product/hectare Maximal control is expected with the maximum rate of the product is used, but reduced dose rates (from 2 to 1.8 kg/ha) may bring a satisfying control under limited disease pressure and when the product is applied with the minimum interval of 7 days between applications. Dose reduction does not allow either increasing the maximal number of applications nor reduction the pre harvest interval.

Timing:
Spray at NAUTILE DG at first risk of infection. Otherwise, spray as the crop meets within the rows. According to the disease incidence and weather conditions repeat at 7 to 14 day intervals. The longer interval is recommended under dry conditions. Under the following conditions reduce the spray interval to 7 - 10 days:
On irrigated crops.
On very susceptible varieties e.g. Russet Burbanks.
When active blight is present in areas on crops, dumps or volunteers early in the season.
When the weather favours very rapid disease development. Reduce the spray to 7 day intervals under exceptional circumstances.
Do not enter the treated area before the crop is completely dry of the applied mixture. Spray until the haulm dies down or is desiccated.

Varieties:
All varieties of early and maincrop potatoes may be treated. On crops grown for processing consult your processor before use.

Water volumes:
The maximum concentration must not exceed 2kg of product per 300 litres water. Apply as a MEDIUM quality spray (as defined by BCPC).

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
When fungicides with the same mode of action are used repeatedly over several years in the same field, naturally occurring less sensitive strains may survive, propagate and become dominant in that field. It is therefore advised that wherever possible spray programs should include fungicides with differing modes of action.

FOLLOWING CROPS
Any crop may be sown after a crop treated with NAUTILE DG.

MIXING
NAUTILE DG may be added directly to the spray tank half filled with the required quantity of water.
With the agitator working fill the remainder of the water. Maintain agitation during spraying.

TANK CLEANING
Growers should consult manufacturer’s guidance for washing procedures for their equipment, and use a combination of triple rinsing and agitation with clean water. Equipment washing should be disposed of safely following the Code of Practice for Using Plant Protection Products and relevant Environment Agency Guidance.

GUIDANCE RELATING TO PRODUCT USE
Effectiveness using three start drift reduction technology may be reduced.
Avoid spraying within 5m of the field boundary to reduce effects on non-target insects or other arthropods.
Risk of infection from potato blight can be when an official blight warning has been issued or a Blight Infection Period (Smith Period) has occurred. Apply if there is risk of infection from potato blight, when an official blight warning has been issued or a Blight Infection Period (Smith Period) has occurred.
It is only permitted to spray at 7 day intervals under exceptional circumstances when blight risk is high and rain is forecast at the time the next 10 day spray application is due.
Do not keep open pack form one season to another as this may reduce the effectiveness of the fungicide and may create vapours which may be flammable.
