A pest of leafy vegetables in most parts of Australia. It also attacks beans, carrots, potato and non-irrigated tomatoes. It causes distortion to the leaves and stunting of new growth. Adults are 3 mm long and a slightly bluish-green. They have a broad rounded head and a tapering body with clear wings extending beyond the abdomen. Their eyes are widely separated and the antennae short. Nymphs are similar in shape but are smaller and are wingless.
