DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully to ensure safe and successful use of this product.

WARNINGS

  • Clayton Grazer must not be applied onto or around manure or compost heaps.

  • Do not roll or harrow grass for 10 days before or 7 days after application.

  • Do not spray during drought, very hot, or very cold weather conditions.

  • Clayton Grazer is safe for grass, but occasional yellowing of the sward may occur; this is temporary and will quickly outgrow.

  • Clover will be killed or severely affected by Clayton Grazer.

  • Do not sow kale, swedes, turnips, or grass mixtures containing clover by direct drilling or minimum cultivation techniques within 6 weeks of applying Clayton Grazer.

  • Residues of Clayton Grazer in plant tissues (including manure and digestate) that have not fully decayed may affect susceptible succeeding crops (e.g., peas, beans, other legumes, carrots, Umbelliferae, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, and other Compositae).

  • Do not plant susceptible autumn-sown crops (e.g., winter beans) in the same year as treatment with Clayton Grazer. For spring-sown susceptible crops, do not apply Clayton Grazer later than the end of July of the previous year.

  • Ensure that plant remains have completely decayed before planting susceptible crops.

  • Do not use plant material treated with Clayton Grazer for composting or mulching.

  • Do not use manure from animals fed on treated crops for composting or mulching.

  • Vapour drift may occur under hot conditions, so it is crucial to assess the risk to nearby vegetation.

  • Take extreme care to avoid spray drift onto crops, non-target plants, amenity plantings, gardens, ponds, lakes, or watercourses.

  • Conifers, especially pine and larch, are highly sensitive to spray drift.

GRAZING INTERVAL

  • Exclude livestock during treatment and do not allow grazing on treated grassland for at least 7 days following treatment.

  • When ragwort is present, refer to the Code of Practice on How to Prevent the Spread of Ragwort.

  • Ragwort treated with this herbicide becomes more palatable but contains higher toxin levels. Livestock must not graze treated areas until the ragwort has completely died, and no visible sign of the dead weed remains.

  • Do not include treated ragwort in hay or silage crops.
