DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
DO NOT APPLY BY AIR.

USE PRECAUTIONS:
Do not spray on crops which can be damaged, such as peas, beans, sugar beets, tomatoes, clovers, alfalfa, rape (Canola), sunflowers, potatoes, turnips (rutabagas), vegetables, flowers, trees or shrubs.
Caution:
Do not graze the treated crops or cut for hay: sufficient data are not available to support such use.
Weather:
Apply in warm weather under good growing conditions. Avoid spraying in very hot weather or in drought conditions. As this product is not registered for the control of pests in aquatic systems, DO NOT use to control aquatic pests. DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes.
Mixing:
To ensure even mixing, half fill the sprayer tank with clean water, add the required amount of COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide and stir thoroughly. Add the remainder of the water and mix before spraying.
Spray Volume:
Equip the spraying machine with nozzle tips to apply 300 – 400 litres of water per hectare using a pressure not exceeding 275 kPa. Before use, calibrate the machine to ensure that the correct application rate is obtained.
On small areas, COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide may be applied at the recommended rates in 10 litres of water per 100 m2. It is recommended that the grass is not cut for 3 to 4 days before or after spraying. Do not water for 24 hours after treatment. Treatment may be repeated if necessary. COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide may act more slowly than some weedkillers and up to three weeks may elapse before effect on the weeds becomes apparent.

Rotational Crop Restriction
A plant-back interval of 30 days is required for all crops other than those listed on this label.

WEED CONTROL IN WHEAT, OATS AND BARLEY:
COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide should be applied under good growing conditions from the time the crop is at the 3-leaf stage until the early flag leaf (shot-blade) stage: grain is about 10-15 cm high. DO NOT SPRAY ON GRAIN UNDERSEEDED WITH LEGUMES.

Field sprayer application:
DO NOT apply during periods of dead calm. Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty. DO NOT apply with spray droplets smaller than the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) coarse classification. Boom height must be 60 cm or less above the crop or ground.

Buffer zones:
Use of the following spray methods or equipment DO NOT require a buffer zone: handheld or backpack sprayer and spot treatment. The buffer zones specified in the table below are required between the point of direct application and the closest downwind edge of sensitive terrestrial habitats (such as grasslands, forested areas, shelter belts, woodlots, hedgerows, riparian areas and shrublands), sensitive freshwater habitats (such as lakes, rivers, sloughs, ponds, prairie potholes, creeks, marshes, streams, reservoirs and wetlands) and estuarine/marine habitats.
For tank mixes, consult the labels of the tank-mix partners and observe the largest (most restrictive) buffer zone of the products involved in the tank mixture and apply using the coarsest spray (ASAE) category indicated on the labels for those tank mix partners.

CLEANING OF SPRAYER:
Do not use weed sprayers for applying any other chemical on crops which may be damaged (see above) without thorough cleaning. To clean sprayer, rinse all parts including pump, hoses and nozzles several times with water. Then fill complete unit with a solution of water and either detergent or household ammonia (1 part to 100 parts of water) and let stand for 24 hours. Rinse several times with clean water. Even after such cleaning, use of the sprayer may cause damage to susceptible crops, particularly if esters have been used. It is advisable to use the sprayer only on recommended crops. Do not contaminate irrigation water when cleaning sprayer.

RESISTANCE-MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
For resistance management, COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide is a Group 4 herbicide. Any weed population may contain or develop plants naturally resistant to COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide and other Group 4 herbicides. The resistant biotypes may dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly in the same field. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action, but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed.
To delay herbicide resistance:
Where possible, rotate the use of COMPITOX Liquid Herbicide or other Group 4 herbicides with different herbicide groups that control the same weeds in a field.
Use tank mixtures with herbicides from a different group when such use is permitted.
Herbicide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting, historical information related to herbicide use and crop rotation, and considers tillage (or other mechanical), cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
Monitor treated weed populations for resistance development.
Prevent movement of resistant weed seeds to other fields by cleaning harvesting and tillage equipment and planting clean seed.
Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or integrated weed-management recommendations for specific crops and weed biotypes.
