Product Description

Dxtar is a broad-spectrum systemic insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking and chewing insects, including aphids, jassids, thrips, whiteflies, and beetles, in various crops, including rice, cotton, vegetables, and ornamentals. It contains 25% thiamethoxam as its active ingredient and is a water-dispersible granule (WG) formulation. It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray or soil drench.

Mode of Action

Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid insecticide that disrupts the nervous system of insects. It binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, interfering with the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death. Thiamethoxam also has systemic action, meaning it is absorbed by plants and translocated throughout the plant system, providing protection against insects that feed on any part of the plant.

Application Instructions

Dxtar can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench, depending on the crop and the target pest. For foliar spray applications, mix the required amount of Dxtar with water in a sprayer and apply the solution evenly to the affected area, ensuring that the foliage of the plants is thoroughly wetted. For soil drench applications, mix the required amount of Dxtar with water and apply the solution around the base of the plants, ensuring that the soil is thoroughly drenched.

  • Do not apply Dxtar to stressed or damaged plants.
  • Do not apply Dxtar to crops that are wet.
