GENERAL INFORMATION

GROUNDED is a specialized blend of surfactants and aliphatic hydrocarbons designed to enhance the deposition and absorption of both ground and aerial spray applications. Subject to the cautionary statements set forth in the Directions for Use, GROUNDED may be used with both pesticide and/or fertilizer products. The addition of GROUNDED to a spray tank may improve the spray application by reducing splash and subsequent scattering of the spray droplets on equipment and nontarget surfaces. Efficacy of fertilizer and pesticide products may be improved by increasing adsorption of the applied spray mix by soil resulting in a reduced
potential for leaching away of the active ingredient. GROUNDED is particularly effective with some herbicides in sandy soils that are low in organic content. GROUNDED is compatible with all nozzles and has been shown not to negatively affect nozzle pattern. It may also be useful in increasing the rate and degree that the applied pesticides and/or fertilizers are absorbed by plant surfaces. GROUNDED is particularly effective with some herbicides in sandy soils that are low in organic content. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influenced by the crop, pest, spray equipment, soil type, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, and environmental and other factors. Consequently, it is recommended that careful observations of the spray application be made and GROUNDED rates adjusted accordingly.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, AQUATIC, FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, ORNAMENTAL, RIGHTSOF-WAY, TURF AND OTHER USES. The addition of additives to some pesticides, fertilizers, and tank mixes may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible plants. Prior to the addition of GROUNDED to fertilizers and pesticides where the addition of surfactants is not specifically recommended but not prohibited by the manufacturer, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial. For ground applications of GROUNDED with ground applied pesticides, use 1– 4 pints per acre in 5 – 30 gallons of spray.
For aerial applications of GROUNDED, use 6 –16 oz/acre. A minimum of 1.0% by volume is recommended for Aerial and Low Volume spray applications.
DRIFTABLE FINE MINIMIZATION: For all applications – a minimum of 1.0% by volume (or 1 gallon per 100 gallons of spray mix) must be used.
NOTE: The above use recommendations are considered to be adequate for most uses. Some pesticides, however, may require higher or lower rates for optimum effect. Follow the pesticide label directions when this occurs.
CAUTION: Do not mix oxidizing agents unless oxidizing agents are in solution.

MIXING
Prior to any pesticide application all spray mixing and application equipment must be cleaned. Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide label.
Fill spray tank one-half full with water and begin agitation. Add pesticides and/or fertilizers as directed by labeling or in the following sequence:
1. Dry flowables or water dispersible granules
2. Wettable powders
3. Flowables
4. Solutions
5. Emulsifiable concentrates and continue filling. Add GROUNDED last and continue agitation
