General Information

Hercules is a broad-spectrum insecticide manufactured by Insecticides (India) Limited. It is a combination product containing diafenthiuron and acetamiprid as active ingredients. Hercules is formulated as a water-dispersible granule (WG) containing 40.1% diafenthiuron and 3.9% acetamiprid. It is a systemic insecticide that provides effective control of a wide range of sucking pests in various crops.

Mode of Action

Hercules acts by disrupting the insect's nervous system through two distinct modes of action. Diafenthiuron inhibits chitin biosynthesis, preventing the formation of the insect's exoskeleton, leading to growth disruption and death. Acetamiprid acts on the insect's nervous system by binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), disrupting the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the insect pests.

Application

Hercules is recommended for use in a variety of crops, including cotton, rice, vegetables, and fruits. It can be applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dosage and application method vary depending on the target crop and pest.
