Product Description

Nagarjuna Mida is a broad-spectrum insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking insects, including aphids, jassids, whiteflies, thrips, and termites, in various crops, including cotton, paddy, chillies, sugarcane, mango, sunflower, okra, groundnut, tomato, and grapes. It contains imidacloprid (17.8%) as its active ingredient and is a soluble liquid (SL) formulation. It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray.

Mode of Action

Imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide that disrupts the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) in insects. nAChRs are neurotransmitter receptors that are responsible for transmitting nerve impulses. When imidacloprid binds to nAChRs, it blocks the action of acetylcholine, leading to uncontrolled nerve activity, paralysis, and death of the affected insect. Imidacloprid also has systemic and contact action, meaning it is effective when insects come into contact with the treated surface or ingest it.

Application Instructions

Nagarjuna Mida can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench, depending on the target pest and the crop being treated. For foliar spray applications, mix the required amount of Nagarjuna Mida with water in a sprayer and apply the solution evenly to the affected area, ensuring that the foliage of the plants is thoroughly wetted. For soil drench applications, mix the required amount of Nagarjuna Mida with water and apply the solution around the base of the plants, ensuring that the soil is thoroughly drenched.
