Product Description

Nagarjuna Spice is a broad-spectrum organotin miticide insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking and chewing insects, including whiteflies, aphids, thrips, jassids, and diamondback moth, in various crops, including brinjal, cotton, cabbage, chilli, and cardamom. It contains 50% difenthiuron as its active ingredient and is a water-dispersible granule (WG) formulation. It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray or soil drench.

Mode of Action

Difenthiuron is an organotin miticide that inhibits mitochondrial ATP synthase, an enzyme responsible for energy production in insects. This disruption of energy production leads to paralysis and death of the affected insect. Difenthiuron also has contact and stomach action, meaning it is effective when insects come into contact with the treated surface or ingest it.

Application Instructions

Nagarjuna Spice can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench, depending on the target pest and the crop being treated. For foliar spray applications, mix the required amount of Nagarjuna Spice with water in a sprayer and apply the solution evenly to the affected area, ensuring that the foliage of the plants is thoroughly wetted. For soil drench applications, mix the required amount of Nagarjuna Spice with water and apply the solution around the base of the plants, ensuring that the soil is thoroughly drenched.

  • Do not apply Nagarjuna Spice to stressed or damaged plants.
  • Do not apply Nagarjuna Spice to crops that are wet.
