General Information:

Ossum is a systemic insecticide with quick knockdown action, providing longer duration control of rice brown planthopper (BPH) and other sucking pests in various crops, including cotton, vegetables, and fruits. It is formulated with dinotefuran, a neonicotinoid insecticide known for its systemic properties and effectiveness against resistant pests.

Mode of Action:

Dinotefuran acts as an agonist of insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), causing overstimulation of the insect's nervous system, leading to paralysis and death. It exhibits both contact and systemic action, providing effective control of sucking pests.

Application:

Ossum can be applied as a foliar spray using a knapsack sprayer or any other suitable spraying equipment. It is recommended to spray in the early morning or late evening hours when the temperature is cooler and the wind is calm.

Precautions:

• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles while handling and applying Ossum.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Do not spray near water bodies or areas where bees are active.
