Profex (NACL Industries) Profenofos 50% EC is a broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking and chewing insects, including bollworms, aphids, jassids, thrips, and whiteflies, in various crops, including cotton, soybean, and vegetables. It contains 50% profenofos as its active ingredient and is an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation.It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray.

Mode of Action

Profex is absorbed by the leaves and stems of treated plants and disrupts the nervous system of insects. This leads to paralysis and eventually death of the affected pests.

Application Instructions

Profex should be applied as a foliar spray to actively growing plants. The amount of insecticide that you need to use will depend on the type of pests you are targeting, the severity of the pest infestation, and the crop you are treating.

It is recommended to apply Profex 20-30 days after crop emergence. For heavy pest infestations, a second application may be necessary 2-3 weeks after the initial application.

To apply Profex, follow these instructions:

  1. Shake the container well before use.
  2. Mix the required amount of insecticide with water in a sprayer.
  3. Apply the solution evenly to the affected area, ensuring that the foliage of the plants is thoroughly wetted.
  4. Avoid applying Profex during windy conditions or when rain is expected within 6 hours of application.
