Product Description

Status is a broad-spectrum insecticide that effectively controls a wide range of sucking and chewing insects, including aphids, jassids, whiteflies, thrips, and bollworms, in various crops, including cotton, maize, groundnut, soybean, chilli, and tea. It contains a combination of thiamethoxam (12.6%) and lambda cyhalothrin (9.5%) as its active ingredients and is a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. It is easy to mix with water and can be applied to various crops as a foliar spray.

Mode of Action

Status is a systemic and contact insecticide. Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid insecticide that disrupts the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) in insects. These receptors are responsible for transmitting nerve impulses. When thiamethoxam binds to nAChRs, it interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the affected insect. Lambda cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that disrupts the sodium channel in insects. This disruption interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the affected insect.
