Syfit (Pretilachlor 50% EC) is a selective and systemic herbicide used to control broadleaf weeds in paddy crops, such as rice. It is an effective pre-emergence herbicide that inhibits the germination and growth of weeds, providing long-lasting control.

Key Features

  • Selective control of broadleaf weeds
  • Systemic action that controls both emerged and germinating weeds
  • Long-lasting residual effect
  • Effective in both transplanted and direct-seeded paddy rice

Mode of Action

Syfit is absorbed by weed roots and translocates throughout the plant, disrupting cell division and inhibiting growth. It is effective against a wide range of broadleaf weeds, including:

  • Amaranth
  • Cocklebur
  • Echinochloa
  • Ludwigia
  • Monochoria
  • Phyllanthus
  • Sesbania

Application and Usage

Syfit is applied as a pre-emergence herbicide, typically within 3 to 5 days after transplanting or seeding. The recommended application rate is 1.0 to 1.5 liters of formulation per hectare. Apply the herbicide evenly to the flooded paddy field using a knapsack sprayer or boom sprayer.

Precautions and Safety

Syfit is moderately toxic to humans and animals. Wear protective clothing, including gloves, goggles, and a respirator, when mixing and applying the herbicide. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not apply Syfit near water sources or in areas where it may contaminate crops or desirable vegetation.

Storage and Disposal

Store Syfit in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use. Dispose of unused herbicide and contaminated packaging according to local regulations.
