General Instructions:

Special Warning - Bananas:

  • Certain conditions make the surface of recently emerged fruit susceptible to marking damage from spray applications.
  • In hot conditions with strong direct light, when spraying very rapidly growing fruit, it is recommended to bag all emerged bunches before spraying to minimize the risk of fruit marking.
  • Never include adjuvants other than water-miscible oils with Smart Tebuconazole sprays, as the inclusion of wetting agents can cause phototoxicity to young fruit.

Foliar Diseases on Cereal Crops:

  • Do not apply to cereal crops more than once in a season.
  • Treatment provides approximately three weeks of disease suppression.
  • Economic responses may not be achieved by spraying crops past the flowering stage.
  • Effects of fungicide application may not be clearly visible for 7-10 days after application.

Spray Timings for Stripe Rust Control:

  • Obtain advisory literature from the Department of Agriculture for classification of resistant and susceptible varieties.
  • For seedling infections: Apply a spray within one week when approximately 20 out of 100 leaves show first signs of infection during tillering to jointing.
  • For adult infections in susceptible varieties: Apply within one week when approximately 10 out of 100 leaves show first signs of infection. Do not delay.
  • For adult infections in moderately susceptible varieties: Apply a spray within one week when approximately 15 to 20 leaves out of 100 show first signs of infection. Do not delay.
  • For adult infections in moderately resistant and resistant varieties: Monitor carefully. If rust appears and spreads, spray within one week.

Mixing:

  • Shake the container vigorously before pouring.
  • Add the required amount of Smart Tebuconazole 430SC to water in the spray vat while stirring or with agitators in motion.
  • Add the required amount of Agridex (for peanuts and beans) or water-miscible oil (for bananas) and mix thoroughly.

Aerial Application:

  • Aircraft should fly as low as possible under prevailing conditions to minimize drift.

Fungicide Resistance Warning:

  • Smart Tebuconazole 430SC Fungicide belongs to the DMI group of fungicides (Group 3).
  • For fungicide resistance management, it is essential to be aware that some naturally occurring individual fungi may be resistant to this product and other Group 3 fungicides.
  • Resistant fungi can dominate the population if these fungicides are used repeatedly, resulting in reduced efficacy and possible yield loss.
  • Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is challenging to detect before use, Crop Smart Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of this product to control resistant fungi.
