Tradescantia fluminensis

Petals 7–10 mm long. Sepals with white hairs on outer surface. Flowers spring to autumn.

Scrambling perennial with succulent stems that root at nodes to form large clumps. Leaves ovate to lanceolate, 2.5–5.5 cm long, blade with minute hairs on margins, narrowing toward base and then expanding to a broad sheath around the stem, upper margin of sheath with long hairs. Seeds grey, about 1 mm long.
