Mango planthopper

Planthoppers are close related with cicada. They are plant suckers. This Planthopper is creamy green in colour with a tiny pink dot at the middle of each front wing. They are common in Brisbane and can be found on stem of different plants. They are considered as pest in the mango growing industry. They look like green triangular plant spines when they rest on the tree stems. Their broad triangular forewings held roof-like over their body make them easily recognized
