GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

OzCrop 2,4-D IPA 450 SL Herbicide

Product Information:

• Water-soluble liquid with nonselective herbicidal activity against broadleaf weeds.
• Controls emerged weeds without residual control.
• Absorbed by plant foliage, accumulating to toxic levels, disrupting nutrient balance.
• Visible effects include gradual yellowing, wilting, and browning of above-ground growth.

Usage Guidelines:

• Do not treat weeds under poor growing or dormant conditions (drought, water-logging, disease, etc.).
• Avoid spraying in strong winds or under conditions that may affect herbicide effectiveness.
• Rainfall within 6 hours may reduce effectiveness.
• Symptoms may take 7-21 days to appear, especially under cold or cloudy conditions.

Crop Establishment:

• Recommended as a herbicide additive to glyphosate for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment.
• Observe specific Plant Back Periods to ensure safe sowing of the intended crop.
• Factors influencing degradation include moisture, temperature, and soil characteristics.
• Delay sowing under conditions like heavy weed growth, soil compaction, crusting, cold and wet soils, deep seeding, or prior use of residual herbicides.

Application Equipment:

Boom Equipment:

• Recommended spray volumes: 25-100 L/ha.
• Minimum volume of 30 L/ha when certain herbicides are included.
• Use flat fan nozzle equipment at 240-280 kPa pressure.
• Set boom height for double overlap of nozzle patterns at the top of the weed canopy.

Aerial Equipment:

• Minimum spray volume: 15 L/ha.
• Droplets with an average size of 250-350 microns recommended.
• Swath width: 15-17 meters.
• Increase water volume to 30 L/ha and droplet size to 300 microns in hot conditions (above 25°C).
• Do not apply by aircraft when temperature is above 35°C.
• Avoid use in intensive horticultural cropping areas.

Compatibility:

• Compatible with tank mixes including OzCrop Glyphosate 450, Dicamba 500, SIEGE, Chlorsulfuron 750 WG, Metsulfuron 600 WG, Simazine Flowable, Atrazine Flowable, and others (see label).
• Surfactant Addition: Add OZCROP PENETRATE SURFACTANT if tank-mixing with OzCrop Glyphosate 450; do not add surfactant otherwise.
• Do not mix with sulfonylurea herbicides if using OZCROP PENETRATE SURFACTANT.

Mixing Instructions:

1. Fill the spray tank with water to half the required amount and start agitation.
2. Add recommended surfactant (if required) through the top mesh screen.
3. Add herbicide additives and insecticides, mixing thoroughly.
4. Add OZCROP 2,4-D IPA 450 SL and mix thoroughly.
5. Add OzCrop Glyphosate 450 and the remaining water.
6. Add non-ionic surfactant (if used) near the end to minimize foaming.
7. Maintain agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.
