DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Restraints:
Do Not add wetting agents, surfactants or crop oils.
Do Not apply to weeds under severe stress due to, for example, very dry or wet conditions, disease, etc.
Do Not allow mixture to stand in vat for prolonged periods, as it is difficult to re-suspend and may lose effectiveness.
Do Not apply with misting machines.

Weed: Amsinckia, Saffron Thistle
Weed stage: 2 to 3 true leaf approx. 2.5 to 5.0 cm across
State: All States
Rate / ha: 950 mL

Critical comments: Apply when weeds growing well and between 3 and 5 weeks after sowing.
Crops generally 3 to 4 leaf (Z13-Z14) stage.
Do not add Rhino or any herbicide to AFALON + MCPA.

POTATOES
Weed: Group A above & other weeds such as: Group B Fat Hen, Shepherd’s Purse, Amaranth (inc. Dwarf, Green, Slim, Red Root, Powells), Blackberry Nightshade, Pigweed
Weed stage: Pre-emergence to 3 to 4 true leaf
State: All States
Rate / ha: 2.4 to 5 L
Critical comments: Apply before 10% of potatoes emerge and after last cultivation or hilling.
Do not cultivate after application.
Use lower rate quoted on light soils and increase up to the higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

CARROTS, PARSNIPS
Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: Pre-emergence
State: All States
Rate / ha: 3.9 to 5 L
Critical comments: Do not use on pure sandy soils. Lower rate generally sufficient, except on heavy clay soils high in organic
matter. Apply 1 to 2 days after sowing. Use lower rate quoted on light soils and increase up to the higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

CARROTS
Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: 2 to 4 true leaf up to 7 cm
State: All States
Rate / ha: 1.2 to 2.4 L
Critical comments: Do not apply before carrots are in 2 to 3 true leaf stage, or if temperature is above 30 C. Use lower rate
quoted on light soils and increase up to the higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

ONIONS
Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: 2 to 3 true leaves
State: All States
Rate / ha: 330 mL to 600 mL
Critical comments: Apply after onions are 15 cm high, with at least 3 leaves. Repeat as necessary. Use lower rate quoted on light soils and increase up to the higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

SOYBEANS
Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: Pre-emergence
State: All States
Rate / ha: 2.5 to 5.0 L
Critical comments: Apply to weed free soil 2 to 3 days after sowing. Beans must be sown at least 2.5 cm deep. Use higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

MAIZE AND SWEET CORN
Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: Pre-emergence
State: All States
Rate / ha: 2.5 to 4.0 L

Weed: Barnyard and Summer Grass
Weed stage: Pre-emergence
State: All States
Rate / ha: 5.0 to 6.0 L

Critical comments: Apply as soon after planting as possible. Use lower rate quoted on light soils and increase up to the higher rate for heavy clay soils, or soils high in organic matter.

Weed: Group A & Group B above
Weed stage: Pre-emergence
State: All States
Rate / ha:
Light Soils: 1.1 to 2.5 L
Heavy Soils: 2.5 to 5 L

Weed: Barnyard and Summer Grass
State: All States
Rate / ha:
Light Soils: 4.0 L
Heavy Soils: 6.0 L

Critical comments: Apply as directed spray to weeds and soil only, when crop is 30 to 45 cm high and weeds less than 15 cm. Early cultivation will increase the difference in height between weeds and crop. Use lower rates when on lighter soil types low in organic matter.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE OR IN ANY MANNER CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD:
CARROTS, CORIANDER: DO NOT APPLY LATER THAN 10 WEEKS BEFORE HARVEST.
CEREALS, MAIZE, ONIONS, PARSNIPS, POTATOES, SOYBEANS, SWEET CORN: WITHHOLDING PERIOD NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Afalon Herbicide contains 450 g/L Linuron. Afalon can be applied pre- and post-emergence to control certain annual grasses, broadleaved weeds and some seedling perennial weeds in cereal, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, coriander, onions, soybeans, maize and sweet corn. Afalon is a selective systemic herbicide, absorbed principally by the roots but also by the foliage, with translocation primarily acropetally in the xylem. Read the Directions for Use before using this product.
Shake well before opening.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
Afalon Herbicide is a member of the Urea-group of herbicides. This product has the photosynthesis inhibitor mode of action. For weed resistance management Afalon is a Group C Herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Linuron and other Group C herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Afalon or other Group C herbicides. However, resistance should not be assumed without first viewing the method of application, the coverage and the timing of application. Resistance to Linuron cannot be predicted and may occur at any time. It is not due to a fault in the product and Adama Australia Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Afalon to control resistant weeds.

APPLICATION
Shake well before use. Fill the spray tank with water to three quarters of the required volume, then pour Afalon into the tank with the agitation system running. Top up to required volume with water while still agitating. If combining with Rhino, add Afalon last. Ensure good agitation to give continuous suspension of Afalon. After use flush out system with clean water and wash nozzles and filters.
BOOM SPRAYS: Use approximately 80 L-110 L water per hectare (ha).
AIRCRAFT: Use 20 L-30 L water per hectare (ha).
Do not exaggerate swath width.

COMPATIBILITY
LINUREX FLOWABLE may be mixed with Rhino where recommended.
DO NOT add wetting agent
