GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Overview: AgVanatage Glyphosate 450 Herbicide is a non-volatile, non-selective water-soluble herbicide effective against annual and perennial weeds. It is absorbed by plant foliage and stems, translocating through the plant for control. It doesn't provide residual weed control and is inactivated upon contact with soil.

Application Timing and Visibility:

  • Effects on weeds may take 3-7 days for annuals and 2-3 weeks for perennials.
  • Rainfall within 6 hours after application may reduce effectiveness.
  • Heavy rainfall within 2 hours may require re-treatment.

Crop Establishment:

  • Recommended for emerged weed control before crop establishment.
  • Suitable cultivation and sowing conditions are crucial for favorable crop germination.
  • Delay sowing on friable soils with heavy weed cover until a suitable seedbed forms.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Ensure a clean spray tank.
  • Use clean, fresh water, preferably rainwater.
  • Add ammonium sulfate if recommended.
  • Add measured Glyphosate 450, mix well, and add surfactant near the end.
  • Maintain agitation during application and use the mixture promptly.

Compatibility:

  • Compatible with various insecticides and herbicides (Chlorpyrifos, Dimethoate, Omethoate, Fenitrothion, Phosmet, 2,4-D, Chlorsulfuron, Dicamba, Metsulfuron, Oxyfluorfen, Triazines).
  • Add ammonium sulfate with Atrazine and Simazine to overcome antagonism.

Resistance Warning:

  • Group M Herbicide - Inhibits EPSP synthase.
  • Resistance may occur in naturally-occurring weed biotypes.
  • Landmark Operations Limited is not liable for losses due to resistance.

Application:

  • Boom Equipment: Low volumes (25-100L/ha) with fan nozzles.
  • Aerial Equipment: For pasture, fallow crop, new pasture, and pre-harvest sorghum. Not for intensive cropping.
  • Handgun and Knapsack: Adjust equipment for even spray pattern.
  • Adjustments for hilly terrain and hot conditions mentioned.

Equipment Maintenance and Usage:

  • Use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, or plastic-lined containers.
  • Reacts with galvanized or unlined steel.
  • Rinse equipment thoroughly after each use.

Protection of Crops and Environment:

  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants.
  • Do not contaminate dams, rivers, or streams.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Do not store in galvanized or unlined steel containers.
  • Rinse containers for recycling or follow disposal guidelines.
  • Do not burn empty containers and product.
