GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Overview: Basher 200 Herbicide is effective against many annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It acts upon plant foliage and green stems upon contact, without significant translocation throughout the plant. Results become visible within 3 to 7 days, with complete desiccation potentially taking up to 20 to 30 days under cooler conditions. Here are detailed instructions for its usage:

Growing Conditions: For optimal results, apply Basher 200 Herbicide under favorable growing conditions. Avoid application to stressed weeds (e.g., due to frost, drought, or waterlogging).

Soil Fumigation/Sterilization: Avoid applying Basher 200 Herbicide in conjunction with soil fumigation or sterilization, as this may slow down its breakdown by soil microorganisms.

Plastic Mulches: Exercise caution when applying Basher 200 Herbicide over plastic mulches, as it can remain active on inert surfaces and may cause crop damage upon contact.

Compatibility: Basher 200 Herbicide is compatible with most residual herbicides, glyphosate, and metsulfuron. While not always necessary, a wetting agent or adjuvant may improve effectiveness, especially for hard-to-wet weeds.

Mixing: Mix Basher 200 Herbicide with clean water. Ensure the spray tank is residue-free. Add two-thirds of the required water to the tank, then add Basher 200 with the agitator running. Add other compatible products and top up the tank with clean water.

Application Equipment:

  • Ground Sprayers: Ensure thorough and even coverage of the target plant. Dense weed stands should be thoroughly wetted. Use equipment capable of achieving adequate coverage, penetration, and spray volume.

  • Boom or Directed Sprayer Equipment: Apply at label rates in sufficient water to cover weeds thoroughly. Dust and turbulence from sprayer/slasher combinations should be avoided.

  • Knapsack and Handgun Equipment: Apply at label rates in adequate water to thoroughly wet weeds. Dense stands may require more water than less dense ones.

  • Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) Equipment: Apply through CDA row spraying equipment fitted with a solid shroud or skirt. Thoroughly cover weeds, preferably when they are less than 15 cm in height. Do not mix with residual herbicides or spray adjuvants when using CDA equipment.

Warning: Take particular care when using Basher 200 Herbicide through CDA equipment to avoid contact with any part of the crop trunk or canopy. Do not apply through equipment with bristle skirts, especially around green or uncalloused bark. Avoid using CDA equipment in cherry orchards.

Sprayer Cleanup: Clean all equipment thoroughly after use by flushing with water.

These instructions provide comprehensive guidance for the safe and effective application of Basher 200 Herbicide.
