GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation and is to be mixed with water and applied as per the labelled Directions for Use. It is a post-emergence herbicide used in conjunction with knockdown herbicides to improve the control of certain broadleaf weeds.

The application targets various scenarios, including marshmallow control prior to the establishment of fallows, winter and summer broadacre and horticultural crops, marshmallow control in grass pastures, commercial, industrial, and public service areas, around agricultural buildings, yards, and other farm situations, or in tree fruits, nuts, and grapevines.

Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide can be used alone with a suitable adjuvant for controlling volunteer cotton, including Roundup Ready cotton. Additionally, it is effective for desiccation of regrowth in cotton.

The herbicide acts rapidly through membrane disruption, resulting in desiccation and death of susceptible weeds within a few days of application. Environmental conditions, such as temperature, moisture, soil conditions, and cultural practices, may influence its activity.

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms of Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide include rapid absorption through plant foliage, leading to desiccation, necrosis, and subsequent death of susceptible weeds.

TIMING

For optimal results, application should target small actively growing weeds. Subsequent germinations will not be controlled.

MIXING

The mixing process involves adding water, partner herbicides, Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide, and knockdown herbicides, if required. Adjuvants may also be added as recommended. It is crucial to maintain good agitation throughout and not store the spray mixture overnight.

APPLICATION

Ground sprayers are recommended for most applications. The choice of nozzles, spray volume, and pressure depends on the target weeds, environmental conditions, and the specific crop. Aerial application is permissible only for cotton desiccation.

SPRAYER CLEAN OUT

Proper cleaning of spray equipment is essential, especially when using Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide. Thoroughly clean all equipment immediately after use, using an alkaline detergent solution. It is important to follow specific steps to avoid residue carryover.

COMPATIBILITY

Imtrade Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide is compatible with various knockdown herbicides and partner herbicides, including Glyphosate, Paraquat, Glufosinate, Atrazine, Dicamba, 2,4-D Amine, 2,4-D Ester, Mandate, Pendimethalin, Simazine, and Trifluralin. It is also compatible with non-ionic surfactants and oil adjuvants. The compatibility claim is restricted to specific three-way mixes as detailed in the directions.
