General Instructions

Mixing:

  • CHATEAU is in water-dispersible granule formulation contained within water-soluble bags. These bags dissolve in water, so do not handle them with wet hands or expose them to moisture to avoid breakage.

  • Tear open the required number of sachets and drop the water-soluble bags into the spray tank filled halfway with clean water. Mix thoroughly until fully dissolved, then add the knockdown herbicide and remaining water. Maintain agitation throughout the process and add spray additive near the end to minimize foaming. Use the tank mix promptly.

Application:

  1. Wine and Table Grapes, Pome Fruit, Stone Fruit, Citrus Fruit, Nut Tree Crops, Olives, Avocados, and Berries:

    • Apply CHATEAU Herbicide for residual control in vineyards and orchards. Use a minimum of 250 L spray solution per hectare. Follow the directions for use of the knockdown herbicide label.

  2. Irrigation Channel Banks and Drainage Ditches:

    • Apply CHATEAU Herbicide for enhanced knockdown and residual weed control. Use a minimum of 200 L spray solution per hectare. Follow the directions for use of the knockdown herbicide label.

  • Ensure proper coverage as CHATEAU is a contact herbicide. Large droplets and poor coverage may reduce its performance. Use air induction nozzles that deliver coarse droplets for best results.

Sprayer Cleanup:

  • After applying CHATEAU, follow these steps to clean spraying equipment thoroughly to avoid crop injury to subsequently treated crops. Wear appropriate protective gear during cleanup.

APVMA Compliance Instructions for Mandatory Coarse or Larger Droplet Size Categories:

  • Use nozzles rated to deliver a coarse, very coarse, or extremely coarse droplet size category as referenced in ASAE S572 or BCPC. Do not exceed the maximum pressure specified by the manufacturer for the selected nozzle.

Compatibility:

  • CHATEAU Herbicide is compatible with various herbicides and adjuvants. Refer to the label for specific compatibility information.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • CHATEAU Herbicide belongs to Group 14 herbicides and inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase. Use strategies to minimize the risk of herbicide resistance. Contact agricultural experts for guidance on resistance management.
